Used to

Remember!
"Used to" expresses a past situation or habit that no longer exists at present.

Used to + the simple form a verb.

Example:

 I used to live with my parents. Now I live in my own apartment.

1. Rita ___________________(work) in a factory, but now she is a lawyer.

2. The baby ___________________(cry) every night, but now she doesn't cry so much.

“ING”

To talk about what is happening now.

“ING”

Add “ing” onto the verb stem isn´t as easy as it seems.

Sometimes we need to make some changes.

When a verb ends in a silent “e”, we drop the “e” and add “ing”

Make  making take  taking

Use  using ride  riding

Write  writing dance  dancing

When the last part of the verb ends in a short vowel + consonant, we have to
double the consonant and add “ing”.
Run  running swim  swimming
Shop  shopping win  winning
Get  getting

 So what are these people doing now? (Entonces, ¿qué son estas personas que hacen
ahora?)
