Detailed Lesson Plan on Science Kindergarten

May 17, 2019

I. Objectives:
 To identify the different movements of Land, Water and Air animals;
 To recreate the movements of the different animals;
 To reflect the importance of the animals.

II. Subject Matter

A. Topic: Different movements of Land, Water and Air animals


B. References: DepED Kindergarten Curriculum Guide 2017, week35, pp.510-
525
C. Materials: Visual aids, different pictures of the animals, TV, laptop, chalk
board and animal puzzle.

III. Procedures

A. Preliminary Activity

1. Prayer

B. Review Activity

Before we proceed on our topic for today,


we will have first an activity. This activity
is entitled, FURperfectly Match. I have
here an animal puzzle and all you need to
do is to match the body parts that you think
fitted or missing on each animals. Are you
ready? Let’s start pairing!

C. Motivation

To start our lesson lets have another


activity. But before I give you the directions I want (The students will go to their respective

Each group will be given an envelope


which contains animal puzzles. You will be given 3
minutes in order to finish your activity. When your
group is finish on your task you will post your
activity in front and you need to describe or tell

D. Analysis

Students what can you see in front? Ma’am there has a picture of cat, frog snail
and bird.

have many friends. Do you want to meet and see
them everyone? Their friends are here at my Big
Book of animals. In here you can see where they
live and how each animals move. Are you ready? I
want you to pay attention on each animal because I Yes Ma’am
have questions afterwards. Is that Clear?

1. What are the animals shown on the book? The animals present on the book are cow,
pig, cat, dog, fish, frog bird and butterfly.

2. Where did you usually see the birds? How Birds can be seen in the forest flying from
about the fishes? trees to trees while fishes live on clean
water.

3. How did land animals run, walk or jump? Land animals can walk, run or jump
Can you give examples of animals that can because they have feet and legs. The
walk, run or jump? examples of those animals are Horse, dog,
cat, cow and pig.

4. How can the birds fly? Birds have wings for them to fly high in
the sky.

E. Group Activity

We will have a group activity. Everyone

groups. Every group will receive an
envelope which contains your activity. You
will be given 10 minutes to prepare for your
activity. After the time, you will post your Yes
activity in front. Are my directions clear?

Chicken group: Animal Mask Making


From the materials that are included in
your envelope, you will be asked to make an
animal mask.

Tiger Group: Puppet Making


Using the materials included in your (After 10 minutes every group will present
envelope, you will make a puppet of your favourite their activities)

What are the animals that can walk/run, The animals that can walk/run are dog, cat,
crawl or jump? horse, pig and cow; animals that can crawl
are snake worms and caterpillar and
animals that can jump are grasshopper and
frogs

What are the animals that can swim? Animals that can fly are birds and butterfly
Animals that can fly? while animals that can swim are fishes and
jellyfish.
G. Valuing

If given a chance to be an animal in the


surrounding, what animal do you like and why? I want to be a colourful bird so that I can
go to different places.
