A Detailed Lesson plan in English V

I. Objectives
At the end of the lesson students will be able to:
a. Identify Adjectives and their role in the sentence.
b. Learn some Descriptive adjectives that describe people, places and things.
c. Form sentence using descriptive adjective.

Materials: box, pocket charts, pictures, hard stone, mammon, wet wipes.

A. Preparatory Activities
1. Prayer
“Class let us all stand up for our prayer.”

“In the name of the Father and of the Son and of


the Holy Spirit. Amen”

2. Greetings

“Good morning grade 5!”


“Good morning teacher Renza!”
Before the lesson begin. Keep your things under
your chair or inside your bag. Sit properly. No one
will talk unless I allow you to speak. If you want to
answer just raise your hand and wait until I call
your name. Is that clear?”
“Yes teacher!”
3. Review
“Before we start our new lesson for today. Do you
still remember the lesson last time?
“Yes, teacher!”

“Can you please tell me what you have learned in


the last topic?”

“Very good! It’s all about adjective. So, what is an


Adjective again?”

“Very good! Adjective is a word that describes a


noun or pronoun. So, let me see if you still
remember the adjective. I have here a some
example of sentences. Let us find the adjective for
each sentence. All you have to do is to underline
the adjectives in the sentence.
1. They live in a beautiful house. Beautiful
2. Lisa is wearing a sleeveless shirt today. Sleeveless
3. She wore a short dress. Short
4. He writes meaningless letters. Meaningless
5. This shop is much nicer. Nicer

B. Developmental Activities
1. Motivation
“I have here 3 boxes and each box have an object
inside. I want to feel the object inside the box and
you have to write what you feel on the board. Is
that clear?”
Allan come here in front then put your hand
inside the box. Can you describe the thing that you
are touching right now?

“It’s wet teacher!”

Very good! Younih, can you describe the object


inside the box without looking?

“Fluffy teacher”

Next Ericka, come here in front and feel the object


inside the box.
“hard teacher”
2. Presentation
. Now class, let’s take a look what is the object
inside of these boxes.”
Box no. 1 we have wet wipes. How Allan described
the object again?
He said wet teacher

“Very good! In our box no. 2 we have a mammon


or bread. How Younih described the mammon?”

Fluffy!
Very good! For our last box. We have a stone. But
how Ericka described it?”
Hard teacher!

So, all in all we have a wet wipes, a fluffy mammon


and hard stone.
Class, do you know where those words belong into
any parts of speech?” Adjectives teacher!

But what kind of adjectives? It’s a descriptive adjective

Very good! Today, we will learn about descriptive


adjective.
