Exercise 2 :

Continuous Writing

Question : Write a story about a natural disaster beginning with

“ People were shouting for help and I felt so helpless,…….

Introduction

 “ In a distance, he could see the tornado gaining momentum, he quickly ran to the house
shouting
 The rotating cloud had changed from transparent mist to solid relentlessly towards the cluster
of farm building

Paragraph 2

 The roof suddenly gave way and the trees that surrounded the house began to snap
 The tornado began ripping at the house and the whole house vibrated as the roar of the tornado
grew steadily louder
 The children in the house were in a state of panic and so were the animals in the barnyard

Paragraph 3

 The family quickly headed towards their cellar

 The winds were so strong that it created pressure on the side of the small farmhouse and the
building finally gave way
 Sheet metal, boards and furniture flew across the barnyard and hit anything thqat was standing
in its way

Paragraph 4

 When the winds subsided and the rain came on, the children emerged from the wreckage
unharmed
 They were shocked to find that their parents had died

Conclusion

 The children then made their way to the nearest farm to seek help from another family
