JOB RESPONSIBILITIES  Providing technical assistance to enterprise customers on Leased lines, Internet,
ISDN, VPN, etc. with timely updates.
 Proactive monitoring of all the backbones and NNI’s running in ISP cloud to
avoid major network outages.
 Troubleshooting all kind of network related issues of IPVPN & MPLS clients and
routing protocols like OSPF running in ISP cloud and first level troubleshooting
with the client.
 Analyzing the connectivity issues of all customers by determining the Last Mile
connectivity issue and rectifying cloud outages and ensure prompt rectification
for the same.
 Identify Backbone choking issues and coordination with the network operations
team for rectification of the same.
 Coordination with different BSO’s (TATA, Bharti, Sify, Reliance, Railtel, BSNL, etc.)
that are providing the services in our cloud. (In case of outage).
 Working on Wireless links running on our cloud.
 Continuous internal coordination with the NOC department, backend teams and
Local POP engineers to give the best and prompt response to the customer.
 Timely update to the customers along with RCA to ensure the best services.
 Intimate to Customers prior in case of any planned activity going to be
happening which can affect the operations of the customer.
 Maintain the Tracker sheet which contains the Service Level Agreement (Last 3
months) of the all the clients.
 Coordination with the other ISP in case of outage via using External Escalation
Matrix.
 Working on the Service improvement Plan (SIP) sheet with the SAM of the
other ISP, in accordance to reduce the risk of same failure again n again.
 Maintain Database in case any new client come into operations which include
details like ( WAN IP, Last Mile ISP , Bandwidth , Local Customer /Contact Details,
) etc.

 Good understanding of OSI model, TCP/IP protocol suit (ARP, ICMP, TELNET, TCP, UDP, SMTP, FTP, TFTP, IP).
 IP addressing (both version IV & VI) & Subnetting routing concepts (VLSM).
 Understanding of Network Routing using dynamic protocols like RIP, EIGRP, OSPF.
 Applying Standard and Extended access list to prevent the traffic.
 Knowledge of DHCP, DNS, NAT.
 Knowledge of Switching, VTP, STP, RSTP, CDP and VPN.
 Configuration of inter VLAN routing in Layer-3 switches.
 Good Understanding of bridging & switching concepts.
