1. VISION, MISSION AND PROGRAM EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES (60)


1.1. State the Vision and Mission of the Department and Institute (5)
Vision of the Institution:
To empower the youth by developing their capabilities through quality education
based on values.

Mission of the Institution:


 To promote education through a holistic manner to make them employable
 To make them responsible citizens to participate in the advancement of the
society
 To make them contribute to the national growth and the world at large
 To promote excellence, quality and relevance in the field of technology to suit
the industry needs

Vision of the Department:


To create competent electrical and electronics engineers, innovators, researchers, and
entrepreneurs by learning the fundamentals and current cutting edge technologies for
the betterment of society.

Mission of the Department:


 Produce highly qualified engineers with a strong foundation in Electrical and
Electronics engineering to provide real time solutions through emerging
technologies.
 Enable students with good communication skills and problem solving ability.
 Develop proficiency and ability to function in multi-disciplinary teams.

1.2. State the Program Educational Objectives (PEOs) (5)


The program educational objectives of engineering graduates of the Department of
Electrical and Electronics are:
 To create competent and high valued professionals for electrical industries.
 Educate graduates to provide solutions for real time electrical and electronics
engineering problems through their engineering knowledge and by applying
emerging technologies.
 To enable students to identify, formulate and solve engineering problems with
professional and ethical responsibility.
1.3 Indicate where the Vision, Mission and PEOs are published and disseminated
among stakeholders (10)
 Vision, Mission and PEOs are published on department page in the
institutional website. (http://tjsec.in/electrical-electronics-engineering/)

 Vision, Mission and PEOs are printed and pasted in HOD office, Faculty
room, Curriculum books, Log books & Lab Manuals, department library and
laboratories.
 Vision and Mission are permanently displayed on the departmental notice
board.
 PEOs are communicated to the stakeholders especially Alumni, Professional
Bodies, Industry and Funding Agencies through electronic media and
meetings.

1.4 State the process for defining the Vision and Mission of the Department, and
PEOs of the program (25)
Defining the process of vision and Mission
 A special team of expert members was formed for finalizing the Vision and
Mission statements of the department in alignment with Vision and Mission of
the institution.
 The statements are passed among faculty members and revised.
 The finalized vision and mission is sent to Governing Councilfor approval.

The framework of defining PEOs

The Programme Educational Objectives are framed to fulfil the vision and mission of the
department. These objectives are created for the benefit of graduates to meet the requirements
of the society by using the emerging technologies in the field of electrical and electronics
engineering. The alumni also provide valuable feedback on the objectives and suggest for
changes. The flowchart is provided below;
