WHY TOI OHOMAI
IS A GREAT CHOICE
Rotorua and Tauranga are part of the Bay of Plenty region and are safe, friendly
places to live, study, and play. The cost of living is lower here than in bigger cities like
Wellington and Auckland. Economic and population growth has led to a noticeable
increase in construction and engineering opportunities. The Bay of Plenty region is
also renowned for its horticulture, with large kiwifruit orchards spanning the area which
provide ample opportunities for seasonal work.

Graduate Profile
Having grown up in China, with English as a second language, Jasmine Li was initially
worried that she might not graduate from her Bachelor of Applied Management
programme. But with support and guidance from each of her Toi Ohomai tutors,
Jasmine was able to overcome her challenges and succeed.

“The best part was the tutors. Sometimes I wouldn’t know how to do the assignments
so I’d ask their advice. They were always so nice and helpful and I never felt like I was
annoying them.”

After graduating, Jasmine began working as a marketing specialist at Urban Print,

where she has continued to prosper as the business expands.

OPTIONS
Toi Ohomai can help arrange accommodation
while you are here for your studies.

HALL OF RESIDENCE (ROTORUA)

Tangatarua Hall of Residence, a hostel owned
by Toi Ohomai, is located next to Mokoia Campus
in Rotorua. Situated in a park-like setting with
mature landscaping and open spaces, the hall
offers our students an attractive and affordable
place to live just a short walking distance to the
campus.

SHARED ACCOMMODATION (TAURANGA)

Toi Ohomai offers rental houses close to
Windermere Campus in Tauranga. The bedrooms
are lockable and furnished. Living areas and
bathrooms are shared with at least one other

and while you and your homestay family adjust
to each other.

The homestay fee of NZ$195-250 per week
