8. Network of Independent Travel Agencies (NAITAS)

NITAS strive to improve the entire travel industry by connecting travel partners with each other
and being a direct spokesperson to the Philippine government.

9. Movement of Incentive Travel Executives (MITE)

Organise educational programmes that will upgrade the standards and quality of services of
existing tourism facilities and services to ensure that these meet the requirements of incentive travel
clients.

10. Philippine Association of Accredited Tourist Guide Lecturers Inc. (PAATGLI)

Its members are tourist guides duly accredited by Department of Tourism and/or licensed by
Local Government Units. The Association is duly registered with Securities and Exchange Commission as
a non-profit organization on April 2008.

11. The Philippine Tour Operators Associations (PHILTOA)

An attached agency of the Department of Tourism, the Tourism Promotions Board (TPB) exists
to market and promote the Philippines domestically and internationally as a world-class tourism and

PROFESSIONAL TOURISM AND HOSPITALITY ORGANIZATION

1. The United States Travel Data Center (USTDC)

It was originally formed as the Formosa Liaison Center (founded in 1955 after the signature of the
US-Taiwan Mutual Defense Pact of December 1954 and the first Straits crisis of Sept. 1954).

2. Travel Industry Association of America (TIAA)

The Travel Industry Association of America (TIA) is a Washington DC based non-profit association
that represents and speaks for the common interests and concerns of all components of the U.S. travel
industry.

3. Travel Tourism Research Association(TTRA)

TTRA is a leading advocate for higher standards in travel and tourism-related research, marketing,
and insights. Membership in TTRA says to the global community that you strive to meet the same
exceptional standards.

4. American Society of Travel Agents (ASTA)

Members represent 80 percent of all travel sold in the United States through the travel agency
distribution channel. Together with hundreds of internationally based members, it is the leading global
advocate for travel agents, the travel industry and the traveling public.

5. Universal Federation of Travel Agents Association (UFTAA)

The Universal Federation of Travel Agents Association (UFTAA) is a federation of national


associations of travel agents and tour operators and is the largest world body representing the travel
industry.

6. World Association for Professional Training in Tourism (WAPTT)

WAPTT. to qualify as a fellow, an individual must have been a registered travel marketing
professional for at least one year. was founded in 1946 as a non-profit association for schools, colleges
and universities offering programs in hotel and restaurant management
7. Council on Hotel, Restaurant, and Institutional Education (CHRIE)

focus has expanded and its mission statement has evolved, making it a marketplace for facilitating
exchanges of information, ideas, research, products and services related to education, training and
resource development for the hospitality and tourism industry (food, lodging, recreation and travel
services). Serving as the hospitality and tourism education network, we strive to unite educators,
industry executives and associations.

8. Association of Travel Marketing Executives (ATME)

Is a non-profit, professional association made up of experienced and innovative travel industry


marketers representing all segments including: airlines; hotels and resorts; cruise lines; tour operators;
online travel companies and initiatives; CVB’s; local, state, and international tourist offices; car rental
companies; technology and marketing solution providers (ad, marketing, pr agencies, database, crm
companies); and media executives.

9. The Society of Travel and Tourism Educators (SOTTE)

Is an international organization of over 150 educators in travel, tourism, and related fields
representing all levels of educational institutions, ranging from professional schools and high schools to
four year colleges and graduate degree granting universities.
