Projects:
OEL Rebuild: Leading a technical team of 5 Linux Admins in updating legacy SUSE and Oracle Enterprise Linux
(OEL) to latest 6.x or 7.x. As part of streamlining the different operating systems to one single OS, I have
worked with different business units to prepare a plan to migrate OS to Oracle Linux by following ITIL
process. I have prepared, executed the migration plans and met all the timelines according to agreed
timelines.

SAP Veritas Cluster migration (VRTSvcs 7.3): It is a high visibility migration project. The existing SAP Veritas
cluster is in the legacy data center and should be migrated to our new datacenter. I was involved in creating,
configuring the VCS service groups and its resources in new VCS cluster for Oracle DB. Once the DB data is
migrated, then the respective service groups are brought online. For the application servers, these are virtual
hosts and were cloned with a source clone in VMware, and the application data was migrated using tar balls.

Ansible automation: As the industry moving to the automating the regular tasks. We have implemented
ansible automation tool to manage regular tasks, such as user management, package management, pushing
standard configuration files.

● Install, configure, manage and troubleshoot the production assets running Oracle
Enterprise Linux 6.x, 7.x, and SUSE 11.x operating systems. I have successfully migrated 100+ servers.
● Responsible for build and deployment automation using VM Ware ESX, Docker
containers and Vagrant.
● Implemented Ansible as a configuration management tool, to automate repetitive
tasks, quickly deploy critical applications, and proactively manage change.
● Configure VERITAS cluster service groups for the SAP environments and patch
systems with security updates.
● Scan and configure the storage LUNs for the Oracle DB environment, configured
oracleasm disks for DB environment. Understanding of SAN storage tools such as sanlun, multipath and
method multipathing.
● Coordinate/assist developers with establishing and applying appropriate branching,
labeling/naming conventions using GIT source control.
● Mount and fine-tune the NFS shares for the DB and application servers, troubleshoot
the NFS filesystem issues and provided the solutions.
● Configure network bonding for the network devices in Linux Systems to provide
network redundancy.
● Patching the Linux servers on a monthly or quarterly basis using Yum, rpm and
zypper tools.
● Provided technical KT sessions on Linux, cluster and scripting to the engineers on
regular basis.
● Wrote scripts in BASH shell to automate SAP service group creation and also
mundane tasks we do every day.
● Monitor the production assets for any vulnerabilities given by the security team and
patch those accordingly during the maintenance window.
