CRIMINAL JURISPRUDENCE

DEFINITIONS and TERMS

1. Dolo – which an act performed with deliberate intent to commit felony.


2. Sedition – is committed by person who rise publicly and tumultuously in order to attain
by force, intimidation, or by other means outside of legal methods, any of the following
objects.
3. Robbery – any person who with intent to gain, shall take any personal property belonging
to another, by means of violence or intimidation of any person, or using force upon
anything shall be guilty of robbery.

9. Error in Personae – “Mistake in the identity of the victim”.
10. Jurisprudence – is that practical science that investigates the natures, origins,
developments and functions of law.
11. Motive – is the moving power which impels one to action for a definite result.
12. Mala Inse – is an act or omission punishable by the Revised Penal Code
13. Treason – any person who, owing allegiance to the Government of the Philippine Islands,
not being a foreigner, levies war against them or adheres to their enemies, giving them
aid of comfort within the Philippine Islands or elsewhere.
14. Adultery – is committed by any married woman who shall have a sexual intercourse with
a man not her husband and by man who has carnal knowledge of her knowing her to
married, even if the marriage be subsequently declared void.
