Multan Debating Society (MDS) is the leading Debating Society of Multan, Pakistan. MDS
envisions a world in which every youth is proactive to raise voice and thus gain access to
competitive speech and debate activities.

Multan Debating Society feels honour to invite your institution to "All Punjab Jashn e Azadi
Festival”, going to held at Women University Multan on 27th August 2019.

Institutions from all over Punjab will come to compete in this event. Topics, Rules and Regulations
of the contest are attached herewith. You are therefore, requested to confirm your participation
latest by 20th August by sending registration fee through easy paisa on 0311-1620102. Fee
voucher will be provided before starting the event.

ESSAY WRITING COMPETITION:
Topic Urdu:
ِ ‫مہارا‬
‫اخایمںاوراناکلح‬،‫اظنممیلعت‬

Topic English:
Our Education System, flaws and its solutions.

• Essay must contain at least 1000-1500 words.

• Essay must not be plagiarized
• One hour and thirty minutes will be given.
• Cell phones will not be allowed during competition
• Registration Fee = RS: 1000 for one individual.

BILINGUAL DECLAMATION:
• Competition will be bilingual. (English and Urdu)
• The competition will comprise on single rounds.
• There will be team participation comprising of two speakers, however, an individual
competitor may also participate.
• This is a compulsion for a team that if one member of the team chooses a serious topic
from one language, the other member will choose a humorous topic from the other
language and vice versa.
• Time limit will be minimum 3-5 minutes for a speaker.
• Paper reading will not be allowed.
• Speakers will not be allowed to make objectionable, vulgar or indecent remarks about any
religion, caste, creed, political party or personage.
• Judges can disqualify participant over the violation of any rule.
• The team having the maximum aggregate points will win.
• If two teams or two participants gain equal marks, then the position will be awarded after
new extempore speeches from both teams or participants.
• Registration Fee = RS: 1000 for one individual.

• There is not any specified size of the canvas. (Reasonable size must be use)
• Mediums will be the oil paints, Acrylics, water colors, soft pastels and pencil colors only
• Theme would be strictly followed.
• Decision of judges will be final and not challenge-able.
• Preparation time will be 3 hours
• Registration Fee = RS: 1000 for one individual.

DRAWING
• Theme for drawing is “EQUALITY”.
• Every participating institute can register only 2 participants.
• Material will be arranged by the participants.
• Size of sheet should be 18”X24”.
• Medium will be the Pencil, Charcoal or Pointer.
• Theme would be strictly followed.
• The decision of judges will be final and not challenge-able.
• Preparation time will be 3 hours.
• Registration Fee = RS: 1000 for one individual.

CALLIGRAPHY
• Theme for Calligraphy is “Khat e Arabi”.
• Every participating institute can register only 2 participants.
• Material will be arranged by the participants.
• Calligraphy should be on Scholar sheet or Canvas.
• Size of scholar sheet should be 18”X24”.
• Medium will be the Oil/Poster/Acrylic paints or Calligraphy ink.
• Theme would be strictly followed.
• The decision of judges will be final and not challenge-able.
• Preparation time will be 3 hours.
• Registration Fee = RS: 1000 for one individual.
