How to SE Corsair

What you will need:

P/N (Parts Number)

S/N (Serial Number)

POP (unless you go different route. Will be explained later)

Before you start here is what you need to know.

The S/N MUST be under warranty. If not, this will not work.

Also, this serial number must not already be registered with a corsair account. If it is, your SE will be
futile and useless.

Step 1. Calling up Corsair Customer service.

Corsair : “Hello, thank you for calling Corsiar Customer service, how may I help you”
You: “ Hello, yesterday, I was using my computer and it stopped working all of a sudden. Like the screen
went blue and then black. I’m terribly sorry for my poor explanation. I just don’t know what happened”

Corsair: “ No problem, sir/mam, have you tried _____________(series of troubleshooting steps”

You: “Yes of course. I tried a series of different methods. I know that the ram is the problem, because I
have plugged in a different ram, and the computer works great”
This is important. You must tell them that you have tried all different methods of troubleshooting to
cut to the chase.
Corsair: “Okay, can you give me the SN of the RAM”
You: “SN: _______________”

Step 2. They will ask you for the POP

You can simply say that the product was a gift. I do not recommend generating a receipt as Corsair can
cross check (although not likely)

Step 3. They will give you two different options. An advanced RMA or a typical RMA. (I recommend the
typical RMA for simplicity)

Advanced RMA: They send you the product. But after you receive it, you have to send in the old one.
Corsair will have a credit card on file. If you do not send it back, they can charge the card.

If you use a drop/reship and a VCC, you may go around this. However, Corsair may charge the full
price of the RAM to the VCC. Sometimes they don’t. I wouldn’t recommend doing this considering its
all chance

Typical RMA:

Provide them with an email

They will send you a shipping label.

Step 3. Box them if you take the typical RMA route.

Here is how to box.

What you will need

Box of the product. If you don’t have it, it’s fine. Having the box of the product is always better.

Two different colors of tapes. This is to confuse the person who opens up the box.

Sharp blade or knife.

How to box:

 Tape up the box with the certain color tape

 Slash the tape with a blade
 Cover up the slashed tape with a tape of a different color

Now put about 6 ounces of dry ice in the package.

That is how you do it!!

Send in the Box to Corsair. I recommend dropping the box at a blue box. This way, USPS won’t know
who sent the package.

You will get the package because Corsair sends right after confirmation.

If they don’t and Corsair tells you that the package is missing, play it off as dumb. They can’t blame
you for the missing package and will provide an RMA.
