Your teacher will make a lottery of the musical genres below.
She/he will write each musical genre on a piece of paper and let you in groups pick one
genre each to investigate further. It may not be your favourite genre, but you'll find it is
much more fun to learn something about a music style you don't know so well.

Powerpop, heavy metal, hard rock, R8t B, country & western, bubblegum, death metal,
synth pop, folk rock, glam rock, grunge, hip hop and rap, Pop-rap (hip-pop), classic rock,
boyband, girl group, house, disco, techno, Tamla /\/lotown, soul, progressive rock, blues,
blues rock, rockabilly, madchester, mersey sound, instrumental rock and psychedelic rock.

Some things to find out to get you started:

B How can this style of music be described?

a What artists fit into this group?
Ö When was its peak?
B What songs are famous? and so on.

Please see our website where you can learn to use Wikipedia to easily get the information needed

This is the link http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rockabilly

(Just put in any of the genre names after wiki/to replace rockabilly)

Each group present their genre and explain all about It.
Examples from the genre will be welcome.
