THESIS: A Pilot Study of Detection of Taekwondo Kicks using RGB-D Sensor

C#/ December 2018
The thesis focuses on classifying different basic taekwondo kicks that focuses on the preprocessing aspect
of the Human Action Recognition Process. The proposed method is reduction of irrelevant joints and the
translation of the coordinate points to the joints of the lowered body. The results show that the proposed
method has a positive effect versus the raw coordinates and can be used as a basis for future studies.

Handled mostly projects given to me by the supervisor and focuses more on team cooperation and
concepts about project management. The process just includes updating and testing several test cases for
the given products and services.

Learned the american payroll and was given the task of editing reports using Cognos. Handled a few
TPR’s given by the supervisor. By the end of the internship, I developed a tool for the automatic
calculation of daylight saving time.
