2.1 General Instructions. Based on your group’s recipe and ingredient, the goal is to
plan a 350 words essay (maximum and including citations but excluding bibliography) to
discuss three maind ideas (paragraphs) regarding your ingredient/species. First, the
biological description including the main and exclusive traits of the species, also its
phylogenetic relations with known species of the same family and order. Second, the
history of the species, explaining its place and culture of origin, and its domestication
process (artificial selection, through directional or stabilizing or disruptive patterns).
Third, explain the present importance of the species. That is to say, its present
distribution, its present economic value, and its cultural value in cooking focusing in
Colombia and your recipe. Your essay should include at least 9 citations referenced at
the end of the text. Include at least three citations for each paragraph. Remember that
all your sources should be books or scientific articles found in scholar google.

2.2 Create an essay plan. Use the matrix below to create a plan of your essay and
share it to the folder 10X Third Trimester Essay as a google drive file named 10X-Last
Names-Species Name (Deadline: May 25th).

3.1. Develop your essay. Based on your essay plan, redact the three paragraphs of
your essay. Remember that a single paragraph develops a single main idea, but all
paragraphs must be connected. Share the text on the same google drive file (Deadline:
