WEEK 4 (30 JUNE 2019 – 04 JULY 2019):

1. Activist

This week, I was invited to attend the SB (T) SB Celebration held at the main
building. I have had the opportunity to meet with staff from other departments and
have been in touch with General Manager pptsb and he is very friendly. There I also
had the opportunity to learn what PCARO was and to get to know the other coaches.

On the second day, my supervisor taught me the process to apply for a grant
application through the HRDF system before I was assigned to do it myself. HRDF
grants are a process by which companies can apply for course expenses and travel
costs whenever a PP (T) SB company sends staff to attend courses, training or
conferences outside the company area or within the company area.

In addition, I also attended a supervisory meeting with officials from the

Technical Services Department to discuss the program to be carried out by PP(T)SB
for next year events.

Next, I accompanied my supervisor to attend a discussion with the financial

officer to learn more about the Capability Management budget before it was
presented to the higher authorities. Because every budget Capability Management is
part of my supervisor's job, I as a coach need to help my supervisor become a part of
the budget controller. To complete the assignment on the budget, I helped my
 supervisor create a budget template before handing it over to my supervisor to
record financial inflow data.

This week, the PP(T)SB held a joint program with students from UITM Bukit
Besi as well as the President Visit program. My supervisor has been a member of the
program protocol committee. Therefore, my immediate task was to assist my
supervisor to manage the attendance of the students and to be the host and to deal
with matters pertaining to the president's arrival.

2. Reflector

Although I have never created or used the Grant HRDF system before, the
guidance of my supervisor has helped me greatly in completing the assignment. The
experience of using computer software while completing university assignments has
helped me to use computer systems more efficiently.

In addition, I have been involved in the open day program of the Faculty of
Business, Economics and Accounting organized by my International Business course
club as a protocol unit committee member. Therefore, I was able to assist my
supervisor in managing the presidential visit program organized by the PP(T)SB
company.

3. Theorist

The theory that can be linked through my learning is Business Accounting

management and Marketing. Through Business Accounting Management, we can
learn that accounting is the way a business keeps track of its operations. Financial
staff analyze the business finances so the budget controller of the department or
company can make better decisions. As a financial officer and budget controller in
every department, they must know how to record the Accounting Information,
company fixed assets, currents assets and flexible Budgets, Standard Costs and also
Variance Analysis to make a business performance measurement very well.

Next, theory linked through the marketing subject. It is fundamental for every
company to come up with different ways to introduce the company to the public to
attract the public's interest and confidence. The PP (T) SB Company has provided
information on companies and products to UITM students of Bukit Besi and has been
able to interest students to learn more about the companies and products they
produce. In addition, it will also motivate these students to continue to trust the
products and management of the PP(T)SB Company.

5. Pragmatist

This week I had the opportunity to learn how tasks and scope work as a
budget controller. Although at first it was a bit complicated and challenging for me to
look at the budget every year, but with the guidance of my supervisor as well as the
guidance of the financial management it really helped me to know more about
budget and financial management for large companies. .

It was also a challenge for me to be required to assist the supervisor in

managing the president visit program as the program involved executive and high
ranking guests. However, the challenge I took was a whole new level of learning
about how I was able to manage top-class management and I could learn to make
my every move formal, including communication.
