4.1 Introductory Activity
How was your assigned activity in hand massage? Did you record the desired service outcome of your client
3 minutes before starting the activity? Were you able to meet their expected service outcome?

4.2 Activity Play a disco music and require students to do actions using their hands and arms like shaking, raising, stretching,
closing the palms, punching, swinging or any actions that conform with the beat of the music. They may move
5 minutes their body but more on hand and arm activity.

4.3 Analysis
1. How do you find the activity? Are your hand and arm muscles felt tired? What must be done to relax your
10 minutes muscles? Why muscles need not to be over used?

4.4 Abstraction
Show to the class some pictures from a video presentation. Explain to them how the hand and arm massage is
done by having a demonstration of the skill one after the other. Emphasize more on the positioning of the arms,
the direction and motions, the times of repetition, the specific parts of the arms, and the parts of the hand to be
15 minutes used. Lead students to discover and appreciate the benefits brought by hand & arm massage. Finally, remind
again students to record the desired service outcome of the client and confirm whether it is met after the activity.

4.5 Application Conduct a classroom-based activity in hand & arm massage by grouping students with five members. Each
10 minutes student must be able to do the activity to four students who belong to the group.

4.6 Assessment Require students to perform the hand & arm massage. Evaluate students'
performance using a rubric which has the following criteria: 1. Identify and use
Observation proper tools, supplies and equipmnet in hand spa tretment(35 %). 2.
10 minutes Demonstrate the step by step techniques in hand and arm massage(40 %). 3.
Work finished on time and with quality(25%).

4.7 Assignment
