AII selected candidates of Stenographer Grade 'C' & 'D' Examination,
2017 rccommended by staff selection commission for appointment to
the posts of Stenographer Grade-II (erstwhile Stenographer Grade 'D')
in Department of Posts, Ministry of Communications.

Subject: Allocation of Postal Circle to candidates recommended by Staff Selection

Commission for appointment as Stenographer Grade-II on the basis of
Stenographer Grade 'C' & 'D' Examination, 2017.

Madam/Sir,

Attention is invited to Department of Posts letter of even number dated

29.04.2019 wherein candidates recommended by Staff Selection Commission
(SSC), on the basis of Stenographer Grade'C'&'D'Examination, 2017, for
appointment as Stenographer Grade-II, were advised to submit their preference /
option for allocation of Postal Circles by email and Speed Post / Registered Post
by 25tn May, 2019.

2. Although, SSC has recommended 52 candidates for appointment as

Stenographer Grade-II on the basis of Stenographer Grade 'C' & 'D'
Examination, 2Ol7 result dated 29.03.2019; SSC confirmed nomination of 51
candidates and their dossiers have been received. Postal Circles have been
aliocated to all 52 candidates, as per the criteria stipulated in aforesaid letter
dated 29.04.2019, irrespective of the status of receipt of dossiers in Department
of Posts. The candidature of Shri Hemant Kumar whose dossiers are yet to be
forwarded by the SSC, shall be subject to confirmation of nomination /
forwarding of dossiers by SSC and he shall have no claim over the appointment
to the post of Stenographer Grade-II in the Department of Posts. Consequently,
the appointing authority shall not issue offer of appointment to Shri Hemant
Kumar tiII confirmation of nomination by SSC and receipt of dossiers by
Department of Posts. For any query regarding confirmation of nomination /

forwarding of dossiers by SSC, candidates are advised to contact respective
Region of SSC.

3. Postal Circle allotted to all 52 candidates can be seen in the enclosed

annexure in the order of rank secured in the Stenographer Grade 'C' & 'D'
Examination, 2OL7.

4. Dossiers of the candidates are being sent to Postal Circle concerned for
initiating the process of appointment. The candidates are advised that further
correspondence, if any, may be made with the Postal Circle concerned.
