REACTION PAPER

MEIN KAMPF | MY STRUGGLES

By: Adolf Hitler

The book, written by Adolf Hitler himself while inside the prison, is a result of
hatred, fantasies and thirst for power and revenge. Honestly, we did not read the
entire book of Adolf Hitler but we have read a summary regarding the first and
second edition of the book and watched two documentaries to further understand
what was in the mind of a psychopath like Adolf Hitler while writing his
autobiography just to influence hundreds of thousands, if not millions, of people.

We have learned that the book entitled Mein Kampf has full of negative
statements especially the racist statements against the Jews. Hitler accused the
Jews of bringing them bad luck. He also thought that the Jews are the reason why
Germans are suffering from great depression while in fact the real reason is their own
ignorance and arrogance or he might be seeking for a scapegoat just for him to
forget his own wrong doings and probably his miserable life choices. He also
believes in the concept of superior race. He thought that the Aryans are the more
superior, intelligent and gifted group than the Jews who are treated like parasites.
He also designed their Nazi Flag with the symbols: Red symbolizing their social
dimension, the white circle symbolizing their nationalism and the swastika
symbolizing the eternal anti-Semite – a strong evidence of being a racist leader. If
Adolf Hitler would live in today’s era, he would instantly get billions of hate
comments, death threats and he might get arrested for having such infamous
statements against the Jews or any culture/race.

Another issue is that he was hiding his true colors by fabricating the truth. It
was stated in one of the documentaries that we have watched that someone
made a falsification regarding the photos of him wearing white coat courageously
standing in front of his army while in the middle of their unsuccessful Beer Hall Putsch
but in reality a soldier/guard was standing in front of him protecting him in case a
firefight would happen. He talks too much but he is a coward.

We also found it weird that Adolf Hitler, while making a serious public speech,
was making theatrical gestures he copied from Wagner just to emphasize or
exaggerate his statements and further convince his army and the civilians.

We asked ourselves, What would be the consequences if you have made
something out of hatred? A nonsense and confusing outcome making you look like
a fool. But since Adolf Hitler was a good influencer, he influenced so many people
through his book. He made himself the hero of the story by spreading his convincing
ideologies and fantasies in some part of the world. In fact, some countries are
treating him as a genius but totally different in reality. This made us recall the issues
against the late president Ferdinand Marcos Sr., but in totally different views. If Hitler
was a hero in his autobiography books influencing those who have similar way of
thinking as he is, Marcos was the villain in educational books brainwashing the
readers.

If we read the entire book, some might open our eyes inside the false reality
of Hitler’s desires or some might make us looking towards the reality we did not know
really existed. What we know, based of what we have watched, is that the book is
composed of confusing events, mixing all of Adolf Hitler’s dreams and connecting
them just to make a gibberish statement into a senseful one. I admit that he has the
will, the fire inside of him, to reach his dreams but I think he used it in a wrong way.

Since this book was written by himself about his own life story, It is obvious that
its contents have some lapses and we are sure that all statements are in favor of
him. If there are, if any, lessons in the book, maybe there are more latent values
waiting to be discovered than obvious ones.
