ACTIVITY COMPLETION REPORT

CONALUM NHS “IWAS – POLUSYON” PROGRAM

I. Rationale:

Air pollution from diesel or gasoline vehicles and cigarette smoke has health
implications for everyone especially to the students who are more susceptible to this pollution.
Exposure to fine particles in vehicles exhaust and cigars can result in increased frequency of
diseases, such as coughs, colds and even asthma. Poor air quality can impact the comfort and
health of students and staff, which, in turn, can affect concentration, attendance, and
performance.

II. Objective :
 To address the importance of clean air with the use of permanent signages found in
the school premises and banning on entry of cigarette smokers in the campus.

III. Date: January 23, 2017

VI. Highlight of the Activity:

The School Eco-Friendly Coordinator coordinated with the School Solid Waste
Management Coordinator in the monitoring and evaluation of the said program with the
permission of the School Head.
