Company Background : The Bombay Rayon Group started in 1986 with
the incorporation of Bombay Rayon Private Limited at Mumbai. The company
was promoted by Mr. Janardan Agrawal. Bombay Rayon manufactures one of
the most versatile and technically advanced ranges of fabrics, apparels and
home textiles in India. Further to expand the product range company has set up
an integrated facility of yarn dyeing, weaving, process house and garment
manufacturing at the apparel park in Doddaballapura near Bangalore. Current
company is operating with more than 5000 employees and being one of Indias
top textile giants for over two decades, company has registered a CAGR of
over 100% in sales over last three years. Further, Bombay Rayon exports
100% of its garments to Europe and USA and major brands like Tom Tailor,
DKNY and Liz Clairborne source their garments from BRFL. As on 30/09/2012,
promoters held 93.15%, institutional investor held 0.16%, general public held
2.23% and other investors held 4.46% stake in the company.
