ANALYTIC GEOMETRY

I. Objectives:
At the end of the lesson the student should be able to:
a. determine the origin of the Magic Squares;
b. define the Magic Square;
c. derive the formula of the Magic Square;
d. express the Magic Square of order three;
e. construct a Magic Square; and
f. perform the Melancholia Magic Square.
III. Procedure:
A. Daily Routine
(The teacher will show a set of pictures.) One student will respond.
Now what can you see at the illustration? What geometrical I can see biscuit, wall clock,
shape are they in common? dice, and color pink square.
Also they are all square
shape.
But now we will not talk about polygons, shapes, and other
plane figures Magic Square
a square that is divided into smaller squares, each containing a
number, such that the figures in each vertical, horizontal, and
diagonal row add up to the same value.
But before that let’s do a sort of recap about the lesson last
meeting. Any volunteer.
