REFLECTION:

The Magna Carta for Public School teachers or the R.A. 4670 is about the duties and
rights of a public school teachers. As a future teacher we should be aware and know our
rights as a teacher. We should know this rights not only for us to be aware and also for us
to know our obligations and duties and to fight for our own rights if needed. Magna Carta
for teacher is not only about our rights but also the qualifications of a teacher. For me the
qualifications are important because we cannot do our profession if we are lack of
knowledge about the profession that we are taking.

The rights of the teacher, has also to protect them and in our country many of the teacher
are being discriminated. In this law the teachers are not allowed to discriminate by the
profession that he/she chose. For me that is right because even they say that teachers are
only teachers, we cannot be wherever we are without them. There are also required
teaching hours for a student, As a teacher that is a good point because not only because
you are so dedicated to your work you are being abused by others. Teachers have also the
right to rest and to have time for their own families. And it is also good when a teacher
has an additional compensation when he/she do things that is not part of his/her work.
Because he/she is not being a teacher, he is also being all around. The teachers is also
need to have an insurance, As we all know teachers is considered as a hero. They also
need to insure their health and their families future, because you are working not for your
own sake. Teachers are working for the students to learn. And The salary of teachers
must be equal, not because you are in a good municipal or you are teaching in a not so
good municipal/ city, your salary is not the same as the other. For me the salary must be
equal because teachers do the same. And also the teachers that are in the remote areas
like mountains, they should also have a special allowance because as we seen in some
articles. Some teachers have their hardships in commuting just to teach and just to do
their profession. The teachers also have the right to be protected against the injuries. The
teachers are have the right to have a leave when they are sick, we know that all of us can
have an illness so teachers need also a rest and they need to have a rest. After their leave
teachers has also the right to back on their service.

As a conclusion, We are all have are rights. We have different professions and we have
our different rights. Not because we know that we have the right, we can abuse it. We
have the right to protect us. And we should always know our rights and responsibilities as
a teacher. For us to be a successful and an effective teacher.
