What is Taskbar?

A bar located at the bottom of the screen first introduced with

Microsoft Windows 95and found in all the versions of Windows that
followed. The taskbar allows you to locate and launch programs through
the Start button or view any program that is currently open. It also
allows them to check the date and time, items running in the
background through the Notification Area, and with early versions of
Windows access to the Quick Launch.
The Windows taskbar has four main sections:

1. Start Button (labeled with "Start" and the Windows logo)

2. Quick Launch (allowing applications to be launched with a single
click)
3. Running Programs (allowing easy access to running programs)
4. Notification Area (contains icons for small running programs such
as the clock, calendar and volume control)

The above picture shows the Windows taskbar throughout Windows history. With
the exception of the Quick Launch feature, the taskbar in Windows 95, 98, ME, NT
4.0 resembled the Windows 98 taskbar. With the release of Windows Vista and 7,
Microsoft removed the Quick Launch, added the Start Orb, and allowed icons in the
Windows Notification Area to be hidden. With Windows 8, Microsoft removed the
Start button, but later added the Start button back into Windows 8.1. Windows 10
resembles Windows 8.1 with a new Cortana search box. Below is an overview of the
Microsoft Windows 10 taskbar with each of its major elements listed.
What does Desktop mean? Explain.
Desktop is an IT term for the most fundamental and basic element of a personal
computer’s graphical user interface. The desktop display is the default display on
the computer when it is booted up; auxiliary features like docks provide end users
with options for working from a desktop.
As personal computers evolved from operating systems based on command line to
more advanced GUI designs, the desktop remained a common concept in design.
Users can change the background image of a desktop, customize icons, or
otherwise arrange the desktop into what most appeals to them in terms of
aesthetics and function. New innovations in desktop design include desktop
virtualization and desktop-as-a-service, where remote control of the desktop may
be part of a provided tech service. This type of remotely provided interface works
with cloud services, where more of the computer’s programming and file supply
resides in a safe external location.

What is activating window?

Activation helps verify that your copy of Windows is genuine and hasn’t been used
on more devices than the Microsoft Software License Terms allow.

Depending on how you got your copy of Windows 10, you'll need either a 25-
character product key or a digital license to activate it. Without one of these, you
won't be able to activate your device. The product key or digital license can't be
substituted for one another. You can determine if a product key or digital license
applies to your device by viewing the table in the What activation method do I
need? Section below.
 A digital license (called a digital entitlement in Windows 10, Version 1511) is a
method of activation in Windows 10 that doesn't require you to enter a product
key. If you upgraded to Windows 10 for free from an activated copy of
Windows 7 or Windows 8.1, you should have a digital license instead of a
product key.
 A Windows product key is a 25-character code used to activate Windows. It
looks like this:
PRODUCT KEY: XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX

During installation, you'll be prompted to enter a product key. If you have a digital
license, select the option to continue without entering a product key.
What is Title Bar?

The title bar is a bar located at the top of a window or a dialog box
that displays the name of the window or software program being used.
For example, in the picture below, the title bar displays the name of
the program (Text pad) and document (Document1) currently being
edited.

Besides giving a description of the open program or window, the title bar
may also contain other useful features that depend on the operating system
and program showing the title bar.
Basic features of the title bar

As illustrated in the above picture, the title bar typically has

a minimize, maximize, and close button, usually located on the right side.
Also, in the top-left corner of a Microsoft Windows program window, there is
typically an icon of the program that can be clicked to also show these
options.
Below is a list of some of the functions of the title bar. Keep in mind that not
all of these are available in all operating systems and programs.
1. Click and hold down the mouse button on the title bar to move the
window.
2. Double-click the title bar to maximize the window or set the window
into window mode.
3. Windows 7 introduced side-by-side that allows you to click and drag
the title bar to any edge of the screen and attach the window to
that portion of the screen.

What does Folder mean?

In computers, a folder is the virtual location for applications, documents,
data or other sub-folders. Folders help in storing and organizing files and
data in the computer. The term is most commonly used with graphical user
interface operating systems.
Folders in computer science function similarly to real-world physical folders.
Folders can store and organize different types of applications, files or
libraries. Folders can also contain other folders, which in turn could contain
other folders or files. Due to the manner in which folders organize and store
data within the file system of the storage media, folders are also known as
file directories or simply directories. There is no limit on the number of
folders or sub-folders that can be created. Upon opening a folder, one can
see how the data or files are organized.
Although folders can contain large amounts of data, they do not take up any
disk space. The reason for this is because folders are pointers to file
locations within the file system of the computer. Most operating systems,
upon right clicking the folder, provide information on the folder along with its
properties. Folders can also be hidden from users, just as files can.
Folders provide a useful aid in organizing the data found in the system
according to the user preferences. It also helps in searching for data, if
properly organized.
