Maintenance Engineer - Fixed Plant

About the role

This is a newly created position for our Workshop in Dampier and holds a vital part in the continual
improvement of our workshop’s processes and practices. Reporting to the Workshop Superintendent, you will;

Improve workshop processes and practices to adhere to the AM Standard repair specifications

Parts management and handing of repairable items through planning process and warehousing

Welding standards and compliance to AS 1554.1 SP Coordinate process for Dampier Port Maintenance

Managing Cost saving initiatives and looking for repetitive task productivity improvements (Production
line approach)

Failure analysis (coordinate the failure analysis for the plant failures)

About you

Your Engineering background is important however we are looking for someone that has a strong Quality
Assurance background, Project Management and have a track record of productivity improvement.

To be successfully considered for this role, you will have:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering

Experience working in a mining/ heavy industrial environment

Manual C Class Drivers Licence

Experience in Fixed Plant rebuilds (Gearboxes, Pulleys, and Shutes etc.).

It will also be beneficial if you have:

Experience undertaking continuous improvement of fixed asset performance;

Ability to provide advisory support for maintenance quality standards;

Conducting equipment failure investigation and mitigation & providing technical direction for equipment
maintenance strategy to deliver outcomes;
