We observe from the data that the larger the units of the denominator are those of the numerator,
the result of the conversion will decrease, but if the contrary, the units of the numerator are greater
than those of the denominator, the result of the conversion will be greater.
As for the method used, it is very effective because it allows you to visualize each conversion well,
reducing the probability of making a mistake.

Abstract
In the present work of mechanics of solids, the systems of units are studied and analyzed
by means of an exercise. To study this exercise, we chose to make a drawing giving the indicated
measures and applying conversion factors, taking into account the perimeter formula to find the
unknowns by means of a clearance.
Problem statement
The width of a closet is four times its height. The measure of depth coincides with the
measure of height. If the perimeter of the cabinet is 1440 cm, express the measurements of the
cabinet in meters.
Development and analysis
To find the perimeter, the number of sides was added by (base + height + depth)
P= 4(4x) + 4(x) + 4(x)
A distribution was made
P=16x + 4x + 4x
A sum of the total base, height and depth was made
14.4 m = 24x
The unknown is cleared
14.4 𝑚 6
x= 24
Based on the results obtained, it was possible to determine the importance of the
international system of units to obtain exact measurements without margin of error, taking into
account the formula that is implemented for the adequate development of the incognita presented
Conclusion
