Executive Summary

Restaurants have always played an essential role in the business, social, intellectual, and
artistic life of a thriving society. People nowadays preferred more of celebrating major events,
personal or professional in restaurants since it provides wide variety of menu offerings and cuisine-
specific establishments for diners with the opportunity to experience culinary dishes they might
not otherwise cook for themselves.

In today’s highly competitive environment, it is becoming increasingly difficult to


differentiate one restaurant from another. This report is prepared to obtain data that will be the
basis for determining which among the given restaurants, Manam, Mesa or Cibo, is the best to
recommend for the Foreign Delegates to have their lunch or dinner during their visitation in the
Philippines.

Both Manam, Mesa, and Cibo have reaches their success level in business field but still
they have their differences when it comes to operations. Certain factors were being considered by
the customers for their judgements and decisions whether it is nice for them to come back or not.

Based from the data gathered, Manam Restaurant stands out among the choices for having
the best representation of reconstructed Filipino cuisines and great delicacies. Aside from that, its
location is convenient way to go, the ambiance gives the feeling of Pinoy hospitality and the
customer service are well performed with the attendants’ attentiveness to serving customers.
Although Mesa and Cibo were also in high class restaurants, due to intense competition between
growing restaurants, still there may be a need for them to come up with new ideas in order for
them to have their operation in more unique way that would also reach customer’s satisfaction
level.
Problem Statement

This report aimed to determine which among Manam, Mesa, or Cibo is the best restaurant
to recommend for the visitation of Foreign Delegates according to its:

1. Location

Restaurants find success when the customers won’t be hampered by poor transportation links.
It is way more convenient if the location is nearby the designated area of the customer.

2. Ambiance

In restaurants, delicious food isn’t enough to gain customer satisfaction. There must be an offer
which can exceed their expectations by having combination of great food, awesome service
and pleasing ambiance.

3. Quality of Food

It is vital in setting high standards when it comes to food quality and ensuring that customers
will get the same quality every time is necessary. Good serving quality and tasty food will earn
a restaurant a good reputation, causing customers to make return visits.

4. Customer Service

Customer service is an integral part of any restaurants. Even how fabulous the restaurant décor
is or how delicious the food is, if the service doesn’t meet or exceed customer’s expectations,
there’s a chance that they won’t come back again.

sets in classics and twists. Manam is dubbed “Home of the best sisig in Manila”.

Among its most popular offerings are its signature House Crispy Sisig and Sinigang na Beef Short
Rib and Watermelon. In addition, the restaurant serves vegetarian and vegan options. The average
cost for two people is approximately PHP700.

3. Cibo is a modern, Italian caffé concept restaurant in Metro-Manila, created by 2016 Asia's Best

coffee and wine all come from the most highly respected and iconic purveyors in Italy.

Among their best hits are Prosciutto Praga, Gamberetti and Crema Di Zucca Pancetta. In addition,
the restaurant offers vegetarian options. Average cost for two people is PHP1200.

Cibo - Don’t sit at the back because waiters tend to miss you out.

Final Recommendation

Based from the gathered data, Manam is recommended as the best Filipino restaurant
because it is the obviously the best among the options. Manam not only represents the Filipino
culture in their dishes but they reconstruct some of the famous Filipino dishes and delicacies, they
cook it in a unique way that’s sure to show foreigners how delicious Filipino food are. Some of
their dishes with interesting and delicious twists are watermelon sinigang, corned beef sisig, salted
caramel sans rival, ube sago, and mais con hielo con queso. There are many Manam branches all
over Metro Manila so it is easy to find a branch near anyone. The restaurants ambiance also makes
the customers homey and feel like they’re being served meals made by their family, a part of the
Filipino culture where they prefer to eat food cooked by their families at home. Manam provides
good service and staff that are very friendly. They are very consistent with the quality of food that
they serve, your order looks and tastes exactly the same on every branch. Any foreigner who gets
to try Manam will surely get hooked to Filipino food and surely love it.
