1. GENERAL

1.1 INTRODUCTION:

1.1.1 These Specifications mainly stipulates the following, for the unplasticized polyvinyl
chloride (UPVC) pipes D54 & D56 and various types of UPVC bends used in external
telecommunications network of Qnbn.

1.1.2 The quantitative requirement is specified separately the “Commercial Part of the
Supplier Document" / "Invitation for Quotation".

1.1.3 Qnbn Specifications are revised, when necessary, by the issue either of amendment
slips or of revised editions. The users of Qnbn Specifications shall ascertain that they
are using the latest amendment or edition.

1.2 PURPOSE OF SPECIFICATIONS:

1.2.1 The purpose of these Specification is to enable the 'Supplier' of the


following:-

(a) Procurement of UPVC ducts D54, D56 and various types of ducts bends,
which shall conform to the Specifications, form an integral part of, and co-,
exist with, the existing external network of the "Supplier".

(b) Technical evaluation of the material offered, in order to ensure that the
"Qnbn's technical requirements stipulated in the Specifications are fully met.

(c) Evaluation of the Supplier’s in-service experience in manufacturing &


supplying such materials and quality assurance system.

(d) Selection of a suitable Supplier/Manufacturer for the required material based


on the detail technical evaluation

1.3 GENERAL CONDITIONS:

1.3.1 Compliance with these Specifications shall be assessed by the Qnbn on an agreed
quality assurance procedure.

1.3.2 All instructions, details and dimensions shown on any drawing, diagram or
Specifications drawn herein shall be taken as forming a part of these Specifications.

1.3.3 The Manufacturer will generally be allowed as much freedom as possible in the
choice and amendment of design of the material. However, the Qnbn reserves the
right to refuse to accept any material design that does not comply in every respect
with the Specifications and field conditions of use. The Supplier must obtain written
approval of the Qnbn prior to incorporating any modification or amendment.

1.3.4 Wherever any reference is made to any supplementary Specifications such as


British Standards or any other, the latest issue of that Specifications shall be followed.
The properties, qualities and dimensions not defined in these Specifications, if any,
shall generally be equivalent to that of standard material of the same kind used for
similar purpose. The Supplier shall, however, obtain written clarification from the
Qnbn for any such undefined item prior to incorporating the same in the offered
material.

1.3.5 In case of any apparent conflict between the requirements stipulated in these
Specifications, the Supplier shall seek clarification from the department issuing
invitation to tender.

1.3.6 The expression. 'Quality Assurance Representative' used in these Specifications refers
to the 'Quality Assurance Representative' of the Qnbn.

1.3.7 The Supplier shall submit evidence of his in-service experience in the manufacture
and/or supply of such materials.

1.3.8 Any information or clarification required by the Supplier in connection with the
Specifications, prior to issue of the contract, shall be obtained from the department
issuing invitation to tender.

1.3.9 These Specifications does not include all the necessary provision of a contract, as
these are covered in the commercial part of the tender document.

2. COMPLIANCE STATEMENT

2.1 CATEGORISATION OF TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS CLAUSES:

2.1.1 To assist the Supplier in preparing a response to these technical Specifications


in paragraph format. The paragraphs are categorized as follows: -

A. REQUIREMENTS (R)

(R) Indicates a mandatory requirement of the Qnbn. The Supplier shall state
compliance or otherwise in accordance with Clauses No. 2.2.3 to 2.2.7.

B. QUESTIONS (Q)

(Q) Indicates a question on a mandatory requirement. All questions shall be clearly


and unambiguously answered by the Supplier.

The response of the Supplier shall be:

i) Answered, or

ii) Partially answered, or

iii) Not answered

In case of (i) and (ii) above, the relevant answers shall either be appended in the
Statement of Compliance against the particular Clause, or if referenced to elsewhere
in the offer, the relevant reference shall be precise and accurate.

C. OPTION (O)

(O) indicates an optional item. In all such Clauses, Supplier shall clearly respond
with:

i) Integral part of the offer, or

ii) Optionally offered, or

iii) Not offered.

In case of (i) and (ii) above, the relevant details shall either be appended in the
Statement of Compliance against the particular Clause, or if referenced to elsewhere
in the offer, the relevant reference shall be precise and accurate.

2.1.2 INFORMATION AND INSTRUCTIONS TO SUPPLIERS

All paragraphs which are not designated either as a Requirement (R) or Question (Q),
or an Option (O) are Information or Instructions to Supplier. The Supplier shall
carry out all instructions and shall respond with UNDERSTOOD, ACCEPTED AND
COMPLIED (U.A.C) against all such paragraphs within the statements of
compliance, paragraph by paragraph numbered, as in these Specifications.

2.1.3 The Supplier shall provide a statement of compliance, in accordance with Clause No.
2.2 against the requirement and also respond to all the questions and options.

2.1.4 The statements of compliance and answers to the questions shall be numbered and
given in the same order as of these Specifications with full and complete answers to
the questions interspersed within the statements of compliance as in the
Specifications.

2.1.5 References to general descriptions or appendices to the offer shall be minimized in


answering the questions and all such references shall be precise and must be relevant
in order to be accepted for evaluation.

2.1.6 General descriptions, the required sample documentation and all supporting
documentation which is appended to the offer shall be fully indexed in each volume of
the Tender.

2.2 STATEMENT OF COMPLIANCE:

2.2.1 To enable the Qnbn to evaluate the suitability and price of the material being
offered, the Qnbn's responses must be full and complete with relevant information. In
case any item(s) of proprietary nature, the same shall be clearly indicated with
complete supporting documentation/explanation on the nature of its proprietariness
and degree of compliance with the requirements laid down.

2.2.2 The Supplier’s responses shall be supported by fully detailed documentation and
information such that the degree of compliance offered can be validated. The
submitted information shall be furnished in tabular form to the extent possible, and
lengthy, descriptive explanations shall be avoided.

2.2.3 In the Statement of Compliance, the Supplier shall state against the Clause number if
the material offered meet the requirement of the Specifications in one of the following
ways: -
(i) 'In full', and if so, the Supplier shall respond with: FULLY
COMPLIANT (FC). The Supplier shall also state in detail as to how the
offered materials meet the requirements of the Clause.
OR

(ii) 'In full but by an alternative solution' proposed by the Supplier, and if so,
the Supplier shall respond with FULLY COMPLIANT
ALTERNATIVE (FCA). The Supplier shall also give detailed explanation as
to how the alternate solution meets the requirement of the Clause.

OR

(iii) 'Partially' and if so, the Supplier shall respond with: PARTIALLY
COMPLIANT (PC). The Supplier shall also state the reason why the offer is
partially compliant and which part of the requirement is not compliant.
OR

(iv) Do not meet the requirements (R) of the Specifications, and if so, the
Supplier shall respond with the words: NON COMPLIANT (NC) against
the specified requirement. The Supplier shall also state the reason why the
offer is non-compliant. The Supplier shall explain in detail if the offered
material can still meet the overall requirement & purpose, despite being non-
compliant to this specific Clause.

2.2.4 If any development is necessary to meet the requirements (R) of the Specifications, the
Supplier shall respond with the words: ADAPTIVE ENGINEERING
REQUIRED (AER) in the Statement of Compliance against the specified
requirement. The Supplier shall also necessarily state the intended method of achieving the
specified requirements, the time scales involved and supply technical information, diagrams
and drawings, as necessary, to enable evaluation.

2.2.5 A Statement of Compliance with the correct responses shall be given against all the
requirements detailed in these Specifications; Clause-by-Clause, these being
numbered in accordance with the Specifications. If the Supplier puts no remark such as FC,
PC, NC etc., the Qnbn shall interpret the same as Non-Compliant (NC) irrespective of the
comments, if any, made by the Supplier.

2.2.6 Any characteristics or technical property of the offered material that has not been
specified as requirement in the Specifications and is being offered as a part of the main
offer by the Supplier shall be stated separately and included in the Supplier response so that
the Qnbn can take them into account during evaluation.
(O)

2.2.7 In case the Supplier considers that meeting a particular requirement or set of requirements
would lead to an unnecessary increase in price, this shall clearly be indicated in the offer and
may submit an alternative proposal for consideration. Such possible alternative proposal
shall be accompanied by a full explanation, supportive documents, and a diagram, if
necessary.

2.2.8 All documents including information brochures, drawings and related material on
features/data sheets, etc. contained therein and submitted with the complete Supplier offer
response would necessarily imply that these are part of the offer and that the features/data
sheets/technical details indicated in such documentation, will be provided and included
in the offered system. Such submitted documentation would form a part of the Contract
later, unless otherwise specifically indicated. The exception indications/report, if any,
shall necessarily be enclosed on the first page along with each documentation.

2.2.9 The Supplier while submitting responses in the format laid down in Clauses No. 2.2.3 to
2.2.6, shall do so in the following Compliance Sheet Format (sample) covering all Sections of
these Specifications.

3. TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS

3.1 DUCTS:

The following types of unplasticized polyvinyl chloride (UUPVC) ducts are


covered by these Specifications.
a) Duct – D54
b) Duct – D56

3.2 DUCT ACCESSORIES:

3.2.1 Bends

The following types of unplasticized polyvinyl chloride (UPVC) duct bends are
covered by these Specifications:-

a) Duct Bend-D54 : 90 Degrees-500mm radius bends


compatible with Duct D54
b) Duct Bend-D54 : 30 Degrees-1000mm radius bends
compatible with Duct D54
c) Duct Bend-D56 : 90 Degrees-250mm radius bends
compatible with Duct D56
d) Duct Bend-D56 : 30 Degrees-500mm radius bends
compatible with Duct D56

3.2.2 Collar

Duct Collar-D54: compatible with Duct D54

3.3 MATERIAL:

3.3.1 All the ducts and duct bends covered by these Specifications shall be produced
from the material consisting substantially of polyvinyl chloride to comply with
British Standard BS 3506.

3.3.2 It is permitted to add only those additives that are needed to facilitate the
manufacture of the polymer, and the production of sound, durable pipe & bends of
good surface finish and mechanical strength.

3.3.3 None of the additives used, separately or together in quantities shall be sufficient
to impair the fabrication or welding properties of the pipes & bends, or to impair
its chemical and physical properties, particularly the long term mechanical and
impact strength, as stipulated as a requirement in these Specifications.

3.3.4 The additions of Manufacturer's own rework material produced during


manufacturing and works testing of pipes complying with the BS 3506 is
permissible. No other rework material shall be used.

3.3.5 When tested in accordance with the method prescribed in 102 J of British
Standard BS 2782, the deformation temperature of the material under load shall
not be lower than 75 degrees C.

3.4 DIMENSIONS:

3.4.1 The dimensions of the pipes and bends shall conform to the values specified in
Table No.1.

3.4.2 The dimensions of the duct bends shall be as shown in the respective diagrams.
The bends shall be compatible with the respective pipes. The permissible
tolerance on the dimensions of bends is same as those of pipes mentioned in
Table No.1.

3.4.3 The wall thickness shall be measured at not less than six points around the
circumference of the pipes at any cross section of the pipe/bend, in order to ensure
that the least and the greatest values of the wall thickness are determined. The
measurements shall not exceed the value specified in Table No.1.

3.4.4 Each duct/bend shall have a champhered spigot end on one side and a tapered
socket end on the other side in accordance with TableNo.1 and as shown in the
respective diagram.

3.4.5 Dimensions of spigots and sockets shall be such that these engage with each other
between 1/3 and 2/3 of socket length with normal hand pressure.

3.5 DIMENSIONAL TOLERANCE:

3.5.1 The dimensional tolerance between 1/3 and 2/3 of socket length with normal hand
pressure shall be as stipulated in Table No.1.

3.5.2 An out of roundness tolerance of ± 0.5% is permitted. The out of roundness shall
be determined from the measured mean values of maximum and minimum outside
diameters.
3.5.3 The length shall not be less than that specified in Table No.1.
3.5.4 The permissible tolerances on dimensions of bends are as those of pipes
mentioned in Table No.1.

3.6 PHYSICAL & CHEMICAL CHARACTERISTICS:

3.6.1 The internal & external surfaces of the pipes and the bends shall be smooth, clean
and reasonably free from grooving and other defects that would impair its
performance in service. The ends shall be clearly cut and square with the axis of
the pipe.

3.6.2 The ducts shall be flexible enough to provide nominal bending, while laying them
in the trench.

3.6.3 The sockets shall be reasonably concentric with the axis of the duct.

3.6.4 Heat Reversion Test: When tested by the method described in Appendix A of
British Standard BS 3506, at no point around the pipe shall the length change by
more than 5.0%. After the testing, the pipes shall show no faults e.g. cracks,
cavities or blisters.

3.6.5 Resistance to Acetone: When tested by the method described in Appendix B of


British Standard BS 3506, the sample shall show no disintegration. Flattening
and/or swelling of the pipe shall not be deemed to constitute failure.
(R)

3.6.6 Resistance to Sulfuric Acid: When tested by the method described in Appendix
C, of BS 3506, the mass of the specimen shall not increase by more than 0.32 g
nor decrease by more than 0.013 g. The effect of the acid on the surface
appearance of the specimen (roughening, bleaching or blackening) shall be
ignored.

3.7 MECHANICAL CHARACTERISTICS:

Impact Strength: The pipe shall pass the impact strength test specified in
Appendix E of British Standard BS 3506.

3.8 SAMPLING:

For quality control during manufacturing, sampling procedure shall be as


described in BS 3506. The Manufacturer shall ensure that all unsatisfactory pipes
are identified and rejected.

3.9 COLOUR:

All the ducts and bends shall be black or


Burgundy in color. (R)

3.10 MARKING:

3.10.1 All the ducts and bends shall be indelibly marked at intervals not more than 1
metre with duct/bend No. (D54, D56 etc.), the letters QNBN, the Manufacturer's
(Company's) name, day, month & year of manufacture and BS 3506.

3.10.2 The marking shall be inscripted longitudinally with character size of minimum 6
mm and contrasting colours (white).

3.10.3 The spigot ends of the ducts and bends shall be marked with a clearly visible
circumferential ring, white in colour at a distance of 100 mm and 70 mm from the
end in duct/bends D54 & D56 respectively.

4. QUALITY ASSURANCE, INSPECTION & TESTING

4.1 GENERAL

4.1.1 The purpose of this Section is to identify the procedures to ensure proper Quality
Assurance and to establish that the product conforms to the specified technical
requirements of these Specifications.

4.1.2 The Manufacturer's quality system shall be based on ISO 9001 or ISO 9002 or an
equivalent recognized international or national standard.

4.1.3 The Supplier shall provide detailed plans and time schedules for manufacturing,
factory tests & delivery of the material. The time schedule shall meet the Qnbn 's
requirement specified in the tender document supply order.
(Q)

4.2 QUALITY ASSURANCE

4.2.1 The Supplier shall supply material that conform to these technical Specifications
and the contracts, and shall at no time supply material that fails to so conform.

(R)

4.2.2 The Supplier shall at all times be responsible for the Quality Assurance of the
supplied material.

4.2.3 The Supplier shall maintain an effective and fully documented quality system
capable of ensuring and demonstrating that the products conform to these
Specifications and the Contract.

4.2.4 The system of Quality Assurance used shall be in accordance with the Contract,
subject only to any modifications agreed and approved by the Qnbn in
writing as a result of review of the quality system.

4.2.5 When complying with these Quality Assurance Requirements, the Supplier is
free to choose the means, if not stipulated in these Specifications, by which the
requirements are met; provided that it can be demonstrated to the satisfaction of
the Qnbn that the products conform to the Specifications and Contract, and that all
specific Quality Assurance Requirements stipulated in the Specifications and
Contract have been fully complied.

4.2.6 The standard 'Quality Assurance System' followed shall be mentioned by the
Supplier and complete documentation on the same shall be supplied with the
Supplier response for evaluation purposes.
(Q)

4.2.7 The Supplier shall document the 'Quality Assurance Program' in the form of
'Quality Manuals and/or Quality Programs' including a 'Quality plan Flowchart’
with explanatory notes detailing the quality procedures to be applied for this
contract and submit the same with Tender response for evaluation purposes.

4.2.8 The quality plan shall be specific to the manufacturing process control including
design and shall clearly identify significant milestones in terms of design reviews,
product evaluation and technical audits throughout the design, manufacturing,
testing and packing process.

4.2.9 The Supplier’s ‘Qualit y Check’ documentation s hal l state the criteria
for acceptance and rejection that will be employed to demonstrate that the
technical requirements & values specified are fully met.
(Q)

4.2.10 The Supplier’s 'Quality Check' documentation shall clearly state the criteria for
ensuring the specified quality and reliability of the product taking the following
into account:

 Design proving
 Raw material selection and test
 Process control during manufacturing
 Product verification

The product verification shall include specified testing of all products. The test
results shall confirm that all the requirements of these Specifications have been
completely met without any exception.

4.2.11 Reliability Assurance

The Supplier's Quality Assurance shall include a reliability programme for


ensuring and demonstrating that all reliability requirements specified in the
Contract are met.

4.2.12 Supplier’s Quality System – Assessment

4.2.12.1 The Qnbn's Quality Assurance Officer shall be given access at all times (on
intimation) to the Supplier's premises in order to conduct assessment of the quality
system.

4.2.12.2 As an integral part of an assessment, the Supplier’s Quality Assurance Officer


may carry out product and/or process quality audits as necessary to check
effectiveness of the Supplier's Quality Assurance System and obtain evidence to
that effect.

4.2.12.3 Notwithstanding the right of the Qnbn to carry out assessments of the
Supplier 's quality system, the Qnbn shall be under no obligation to do the same.
Failure to carry out an assessment shall not relieve the Supplier from the
responsibility of complying with the Specifications and Contract.

4.2.13 The Supplier shall indicate in the submission appropriate cross references between
the Quality Assurance Plan being followed and ISO 9001, if any.

4.2.14 To enable the Qnbn to be satisfied from the Quality Assurance point of view and
to ensure that the laid down conditions are met, the Supplier shall:

(a) Indicate in the Tender the Quality Assurance Representative of the


Manufacturer, responsible for Quality Assurance and liaison with the
Qnbn’s Quality Assurance Representative.
(Q)

(b) Identify the Principal Sub- Supplier intended to be engaged in the contract, if
any, together with the Sub-Supplier's relevant Quality Assurance documentation.
(Q)

(c) Permit the Qnbn’s Quality Assurance Representative to carry out


assessments of all aspects of the system of Quality Assurance, including the
design & manufacturing activities regardless of these being in-house or sub-
contracted.

4.2.15 A copy of all documentation referred to in Clause 6.2 of these Specifications shall
be submitted with Tender response for evaluation purposes. Copies of all updates
shall be provided by the Supplier to the Qnbn, within two weeks of issue of an
update.

4.3 INSPECTION & TESTING

4.3.1 General

4.3.1.1 Testing shall be a continuous process and shall include testing of raw materials,
testing during production, post manufacture testing and demonstration testing.

4.3.1.2 All raw materials and component parts shall conform to appropriate
Specification before being introduced into production.

4.3.1.3 All factory testing results shall be well documented and provided to the Qnbn as
specified in Clause 3.3.2.
(R)

4.3.1.4 The Supplier shall briefly state the methods and tests which can be included in the
testing programme to demonstrate that the products will function as required in the
Network when commissioned.
(Q)

4.3.2 Factory Release Tests

4.3.2.1 The Supplier shall identify and plan the production process and ensure that these
are carried out under controlled conditions. Controlled conditions shall include
the following:

(a) Documented work instructions defining the manner of production process, use
of suitable production equipment and working environment, compliance with
appropriate standards and quality plans.

(b) Monitoring and control of suitable process and product characteristics during
production.

(c) Criteria for workmanship which shall be stipulated, to the greatest practicable
extent, in written standards or by means of representative samples.

4.3.2.2 Copy of all documentation in support of the requirement specified in Clause 4.2.7
shall be submitted with the tender response for evaluation purposes.

4.3.3 Factory Inspection By The Qnbn’s Representative

4.3.3.1 The Representatives of the Qnbn shall be allowed access to the Supplier's
entire test facilities and test results, anytime during the contract period.

4.3.3.2 The Supplier shall inform well in advance the date of commencement of all tests
to facilitate the Qnbn 's Engineers/ Quality Assurance Representative to be present
during testing to verify that all inspection and testing stipulated in Clause
3.3.4 are actually performed and results recorded properly.

4.3.4 Inspection & Testing Requirements

4.3.4.1 Raw Material Inspection & Testing

The Manufacturer shall ensure that incoming raw material is not used or processed
until it has been inspected or otherwise verified as conforming to specified
requirements. The verification shall be in accordance with the quality plan or
documented procedures.

4.3.4.2 In Process Inspection & Testing

The Manufacturer shall:

(a) Inspect, test and identify product as required by the quality plan or documented
procedures;
(R)

(b) Establish product conformance to specified requirements by use of process


monitoring and control methods;
(R)

(c) Hold product until required inspection and tests have been completed and
necessary reports have been received and verified;
(R)

(d) Identify non-conforming products and mark them & store separately in order
to ensure that these products are not supplied to the Qnbn even by
mistake.
(R)

4.3.4.3 Final Inspection & Testing

(i) The quality plan or documented procedures for final inspection & testing
shall ensure that all specified inspection & tests, including those specified
either raw material or in-process, have been carried out and the data meets
specified requirements.

(ii) The Manufacturer shall carryout all final inspection & testing in accordance
with the quality plan or documented procedures to complete the evidence of
conformance of the finished product to the specified requirements.

(iii) No product shall be packed or dispatched until all activities specified in the
quality plan or documented procedures have been satisfactorily completed
and associated data and documentation are made available and authorized.
(R)

4.3.4.4 Measuring, Inspection & Test Equipment’s

The Manufacturer shall control, calibrate and maintain measuring, inspection &
test equipment to demonstrate the conformance of the product to the specified
requirements.
(R)

4.3.4.5 Inspection, Quality Test Records

(i) The Manufacturer shall establish and maintain records which give evidence
that the product has passed inspection and/or test with defined acceptance
criteria and required quality has been achieved.
(R)

(ii) All quality records shall be legible, identifiable and readily retrievable.
(R)

(iii) All quality records shall be made available for evaluation by the Qnbn and
a copy of all such records shall be submitted along with the supply of
materials.

5. ENVIRONMENT, TRANSPORTATION, STORAGE & SAFETY

5.1 GENERAL

5.1.1 This section describes the environmental conditions which the Pipes and Bends
shall meet and seeks information on the range of conditions within which the
offered product are designed to be stored, installed operated and maintained.

5.1.2 The Supplier shall establish, document & provide written procedures for handling,
transportation & storage.

5.2 CLIMATIC CONDITIONS

5.2.1 The range of climatic conditions and environmental limits for which the finished
product shall be designed for storage, installation, operation and maintenance are
specified below:

External Climatic Conditions

a) Dry ambient temperature maximum: +70° C

b) Dry ambient temperature minimum: -10° C

c) Relative humidity: 100 %


d) Solar radiation maximum: 1000 K cals/m square per hour
e) Rainfall: 0 to 350 mm / year
f) Dust storm: Severe dust storm can occur at
any time of the year

5.2.2 Manufacturer's Design Specifications


5.2.2.1 The Supplier shall state the range of climatic conditions/ environmental limits that
the finished product can endure without even temporarily degrading the
performance capability or sustaining any permanent damage.

The information on the range of climatic conditions under which the offered
product will function should include:

a) The normal climatic (Temperature & humidity) limits.


b) The short term climatic limits (Temperature & humidity) and duration.
c) The number of occasions and duration per year that the short term limits can
be tolerated.
d) The maximum temperature and relative humidity that can be tolerated
simultaneously & maximum duration of such condition.

5.2.2.2 The Supplier shall identify and state the items, if any, for which a limit differing
from what is specified in Clause 5.2.1, will apply.

5.2.3 Environmentally Sensitive Material

The Supplier shall identify and state the environmental conditions to which the
product is particularly sensitive and state any special precaution that might be
required during storage, installation, operation and maintenance.

5.3 TRANSPORTATION AND STORAGE

5.3.1 The product shall be protectively packed to withstand any adverse condition
during transportation.

5.3.2 The product design and packing techniques shall permit the storage in its original
packing in the open space for a minimum period of 10 years.

5.3.3 The Supplier shall state the period for which the product can be stored in open
space in its original packing.
(Q)
5.3.4 The Supplier shall submit the details of mode of transporting and delivering the
product and state any special requirements for transportation, storage; unpacking
and handling that would be required to prevent any damage.

5.3.5 The Supplier shall arrange for the protection of the quality of the product after
final inspection & test till delivery to destination, i.e. Qnbn’s warehouse.

5.4 VIBRATIONS AND SHOCK

5.4.1 The Supplier shall state the limits of vibration and mechanical shock that each
type of product can withstand under conditions of transport, storage and
installation.

6. DOCUMENTATION

6.1 GENERAL

The purpose of this section is to identify the documentation required for the
pipes & bends.

6.1.1 Technical details together with complete supporting documentation for


the offered pipes & bends shall be made available & provided to the Qnbn with
the tender response.

6.1.2 The Manufacturer's Specifications, (which shall be compliant with the
Qnbn’s Specification and the actual designed values for all Specifications
parameters of the offered pipes & bends shall be fully furnished by the
Supplier with the Tender Response.

6.2 DOCUMENTATION STRUCTURE AND CONTROL

6.2.1 The documentation shall be in English only, well structured, unambiguous, easy
to use and control.

6.2.2 The Supplier shall indicate the type of documents provided in the standard
documentation package.

6.3 ADDITIONAL COPIES OF DOCUMENTATION

6.3.1 The Qnbn shall have the right to reproduce without change, all or any part of
the documents, for its own use.

6.4 DELIVERY OF DOCUMENTATION

6.4.1 All documents pertaining to 'Factory Test Results' shall be supplied at an


appropriate time as specified in the Contract/Purchase Order.
