6. Course Description:

This course introduces the students to the nature of morality, ethics, and its significance in human life and the
society. Ethics pertains to the moral standards of right and wrong which would guide an individual’s everyday actions
in order to live a good life in the modern society. This course likewise guides the students in examining,
understanding, and resolving classic and prevalent moral problems, issues, and dilemmas. The course also
discusses core ethical frameworks, values, principles, and behaviors, and teaches the students how to critique and
discern these frameworks’ strengths and weaknesses. In doing so, the course aids the students in determining the
best and the most appropriate ethical theory which, as moral agents, they ought to use in their life.
