ƒ coupled-heat-mass-update
• By default, the solution of the particle heat and
mass equations are solved in a segregated
manner
• With this option, FLUENT will solve this pair of
equations using a stiff, coupled ODE solver with
error tolerance control
• It doesn’t affect nor accelerate the coupling of the
particle source terms to the fluid equations
• This option gives a more accurate temperature
and mass content for the particles when having a
strong coupling between both equations
• The increased accuracy, however, comes at the
expense of increased computational expense
