Maguindanao Rep. Esmael Mangudadatu has called on presi-
dent Dtrtelte to halt military operations in his province to
preveirt further loss of nre ind the displacerrr.rrt of thbusands
in'the newly formed Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in
Muslim Mindanao. In a letter coursed through Exeiutive sec-
retary Salvador Medialdea, Mangudadatu arso urged the pres-
ident to ask the Moro Islamic Liberation Front to ionvince
members of the breakaway Moro rebel group, the
Bangsamoro Islamic Freedom Fighters, to surrender to gov- :
