Re: DFA Inquiry

1. Per Ms. Czar Ramos of the Visa Department of the Department of Foreign Affairs,
Manila, the Philippine-based counterpart should be the ones fixing the Visa of the
Expats to be hired, even if the said Expats are not in the Philippines yet. . This pre-
arranged employment visa application should be first coursed through the Bureau
of Immigration for the 9(g) Visa and the Department of Justice for the AEP card.
The requirements are furnished by the BI.
The Department of Foreign Affairs will only entertain the Visa application of those
endorsed by the Bureau of Immigration. Per Ms. Ramos, the BI only endorses Visa
application of RESTRICTED NATIONALS (e.g. Indian Nationals) to DFA for direct
processing.
However, some Philippine Embassies based abroad may require the processing
of other requirements like Entry Visa or Temporary Visitor’s Visa according to their
discretion.
2. Insofar as the status of the Visa Application of Mr. Leos Le and Mr. Barbora
Prchalova, DFA Manila has not received any communication from Prague
regarding their application. Ms. Ramos advised us to get the control number of the
communication made with Embassy/DFA in Prague. Their system shows no
communication as to the status of the said applications.
