Round Rock, TX
As I sat at a table with a man today talking
to him, he leaned over to a friend and said very
excitedly and seriously with his finger pointed at me
“we were meant to meet.” I don’t think he knows
just how true that statement was or how affirming
it was to my heart to hear it. It has been a long
journey to get here to Round Rock, TX, but God has
been with us the whole way. The thing that makes
me the saddest about not being at a place where I
could send out a newsletter for the last few months
is knowing there’s no way now I could possibly tell
you about all the God moments and meetings (like
the one above) that have happened in that
amount of time. God is clearly at work and we are
excited to be where He has called us to be.
In the middle of June we left the Dominican.
By the 28th we were moving into our new
apartment in Round Rock, TX. July and August
were given to our family as a mandatory sabbatical
and we couldn’t be more grateful. We have spent
most of that time getting the apartment set up,
buying vehicles, chasing down paper work, getting
new doctors, getting to know our community and so
on. We’ve also been blessed to have seen both sets
of grandparents and to have visited our sending
church in Galena, KS.
With school starting back I’ve started setting
up meetings and making preparations to get back
in the full swing of ministry. It’s been so exciting!
