P: Good afternoon everyone, today we are talking about an important topic that worries all

students in our country. The topic is, what do you think about the Ministry of Education
considering taking a general exam at the end of university studies of the students ?, We are 4
people who will discuss this topic , on this side we have DIEGO and MARITA, they agree to take
the exam, in this part is JIMENA and I, we do not agree with them, First let's start with Diego, do
you agree with the approach of the Ministry of Education?.

DIEGO: Yes, off course! Students have to demonstrate absolute mastery of their acquired
faculties during university time i.e. Knowledge, skills, facing change, facing crisis, risk
management, research, development, technology and creativity.

FIORELLA: I agree, but tormenting students with a final exam seems very exaggerated, I think it
is better for students to demonstrate the skills you mentioned but, in a job, not in an exam.

MARITA: In my opinion, this type of evaluation will help university students to measure their
intellectual level. The students should not only be clear about their knowledge, but also have
total mastery of their emotions. And a psychological test would be very good for them.

JIMENA: I think that most students are aware that at the end of university studies we enter a
world of competition where we have to show that we are prepared both intellectually and
psychologically, that already entails an emotional burden, forcing them to measure who is
smarter than the other, generates direct damage to student self-esteem

DIEGO: Can you imagine a professional who doesn’t know how to deal with a real problem
that involves the integrity of others?

FIORELLA: but those things are learned by working, not taking an exam at the end of university
studies

MARITA: This test will be used to measure your level of leadership and teamwork, since in all
companies they make an evaluation of this type. It would be a great advantage for graduates.

JIMENA : Of course, I agree with my partner about the psychological support that allows
students to face difficulties, but if we talk directly about university studies, students are
emotionally changing, imagine that for personal reasons the results of the final exam are not
favorable, A simple note does not define a person's ability, but it can influence students to give
up growing professionally believing they are not capable enough.

DIEGO: I believe that both parties have important points, within them is that an exam will allow
the student to be aware of what they need to reinforce to achieve stability as a professional and
on the other hand prioritize their emotional stability.

FIORELLA: Of course, as our mate MARITA stated, an evaluation that is based specifically on
revealing the student's emotional situation is very helpful, and that should be the main
argument of the government when proposing a final evaluation.

MARITA: exactly, since in order to measure how trained students are, there is already a study
methodology, through periodic evaluations which keep track of the professional's growth.

JIMENA: Well mates, time to conclude!

DIEGO: the government must support students with psychological assessment programs,
monitoring them to provide them with the appropriate professional support.
FIORELLA: Generating in each student confidence and desire to overcome, to face the
complicated working world

MARITA: Without involving comparisons that generate unfavorable thoughts and feelings to the
student, we reject a final assessment of knowledge!

JIMENA: We have concluded, thank you very much!
