A Birthday Party for the Blessed Virgin Mary

A very great day indeed! A day where all of our worries disappeared. The sun shone brightly
across the clear blue sky. A bunch of children laughing and having good time with their friends. Students
enjoying the breeze right around the corner, and popular pop music… what else could be more peaceful
in a day like that?

It’s Mama Mary’s birthday. As Marians and as children of God, we celebrate her birthday
annually to show our greatest gratitude for having such great faith and for giving birth to our savior—
Jesus Christ.

A joyful event was held in Mary Immaculate Academy. Balloons filled the empty spaces. The
seats were properly arranged in the Mother Rosario Hall. Our eyes were filled with wonderful views.
Amazing decorations were found everywhere. Everyone was excited for the event.

The birthday celebration was started with a mass with the warm hearted, Father FPG. The choir
members filled the atmosphere with harmony using their splendid voices. Before the mass ended, pupils
and students lined up to give fresh and beautiful flowers to Mama Mary. Our minds were peaceful and
everyone felt blessed.

After the mass, the teachers assembled their students and the parade started. The DLC members
including the students marched happily under the shining sun and played a wonderful melody which
boosted the mood of everyone. When they finally reached the Mother Rosario Hall, everyone gathered
around and was very excited on what would happen next. After everything is set, the giving of prayers to
Mama Mary started. Every section of every grade gave a message and a prayer to Mama Mary.

At last, the awaited part of the event started—the games. And just like any other birthday
parties, Mama Mary’s birthday has one too! Everyone started guessing who will bring home the bacon.
The pupils started to get their coloring materials and they made beautiful artworks. The students
meanwhile were gladly rejoicing for their representatives in the think and run game. The players in the
pop the balloon game were all very lively also. Everyone was laughing all around and happiness filled the
air.

Ahhh… that day was very exultant. The breeze was swinging back and forth. Not a single frown
can be found in the children’s faces. Everyone was happy. And in my opinion, that day was perfect. In
fact, that was the happiest birthday party I ever attended. I felt good and I felt blessed. I also felt
thankful to Mary for everything she has done as Jesus’ mother. This day is a very special day dedicated to
thank Mama Mary. And after all, as the greatest model of our faith, she really deserved it.
