Some actors play a character without doing any stunts or even standing in front of a camera. They are voice
actors and what they say is all that counts.
1 d
Voice actors and actresses provide the speaking role for characters in cartoons, animated films, commercials and
video games. With no cameras, these actors use their voice to show how their character is feeling. In fact, many
celebrities, like Liam Neeson, Angelina Jolie and Elijah Wood, choose voice acting roles, so that they can
concentrate on the way they say their lines.
2 a
But who can become a voice actor? Voice actors range from celebrities to internet video bloggers. The best way
to become a voice actor or actress is to practice speaking clearly, try out for auditions to gain experience and
perform in voluntary voice acting work on Youtube. Over time an actor's voice can become well-known resulting
in more jobs.
3 c
Unlike many celebrities, even the most famous voice actors find it much easier to enjoy their privacy since few
people know what they look like. A lot of voice actors gain popularity through appearing at special events like Film
and Television conventions where they can meet fans and answer questions about the shows they work on. In
fact, often voice actors are not recognised until they speak!
