 INTRODUCTION
The tourism sector is a coming together of various suppliers of services to offer people a
complete tourist experience. Travel agents and tour operators play a vital role in the
promotion of tourism. Today the travel and tourism industry is one of the biggest and most
dynamic industries in the world. If you are planning to be a part of this dynamic industry
then you are required to know more about the travel agency operations than just what
happens within the walls of the office. Today, when the world hasn’t become any bigger,
the number of people who travel around has certainly gone up several hundred thousand
times. This increase in the number of people leaving their place of stay and visiting another
place has resulted in the expansion of travel agencies and their linkages with the principal
suppliers.

The travel agency is a link between the customers, i.e., traveller or tourist and the principle
suppliers, i.e., primary service providers such as tour wholesalers, hotels, airlines, etc. It is
the first stop for anyone considering travel, especially to a distant place, i.e., tourist
destination, in order to make travel arrangements. The primary job of a travel agency is to
provide easy and trouble free travel to the traveller. It is also important for a travel agency
to provide enough information to the tourist so that the tourist is not cheated during his or
her travel and has a hassle free trip. “Travel Agencies sell inclusive tours, holiday,
transportation tickets and other related products such as accommodations, car rentals,
attraction tickets and insurance to the public”.

“A Travel Agency is a middleman - a business or person selling the travel industry’s

individual parts or combination of the parts to the consumer”.

In legal terms “Travel Agency is an agent of the principal – specifically, transportation

companies. The agency operates as a legally appointed agent, representing the principal in
certain geographic area. The agency functions as a broker for the other suppliers,
such as hotels, car rentals, ground operators and tour companies”. In this
business the services primarily provided to the tourist or traveller includes
transport (road, rail, air and/or water), accommodation, passport and visa
procuring facilities, foreign exchange and also guidance and information
regarding the place of travel. Many travel agencies also sell the packages

IMPORTANCE OF TRAVEL AGENCY

Travel agents help travelers sort through vast amounts of information to help them make
the best possible travel arrangements. They offer advice on destinations and make
arrangements for transportation, hotel accommodations, car rentals, and tours for their
clients. They are also the primary source of bookings for most of the major cruise lines. In
addition, resorts and specialty travel groups use travel agents to promote travel packages to
their clients.

Travel agents are also increasingly expected to know about and be able to advise travelers
about their destinations, such as the weather conditions, local ordinances and customs,
attractions, and exhibitions. For those traveling internationally, agents also provide
information on customs regulations, required papers (passports, visas, and certificates of
vaccination), travel advisories, and currency exchange rates. In the event of changes in
itinerary in the middle of a trip, travel agents intercede on the traveler’s behalf to make
alternate booking arrangements.

Travel agents use a variety of published and computer-based sources for information on
departure and arrival times, fares, quality of hotel accommodations, and group discounts.
They may also visit hotels, resorts, and restaurants themselves to evaluate the comfort,
cleanliness, and the quality of specific hotels and restaurants so that they can base
recommendations on their own experiences or those of colleagues or clients.y inbound tour

Travel agents who primarily work for tour operators and other travel arrangers may help
develop, arrange, and sell the company’s own package tours and travel services. They may
promote these services, using telemarketing, direct mail, and the Internet. They make
presentations to social and specialinterest groups, arrange advertising displays, and suggest
company-sponsored trips to business managers.

Today, Travel Agencies have been recognised as a vital component of travel and tourism and
have become an integral part of travel and tourism industry at global. They Account for
more than 90% of international and 70% of domestic tourist traffic. Further, more
than 60% of all travel agency revenues are derived from the business travel.
Most travel agencies sell both commercial and leisure travel but there is many
travel agencies which only specialize in one sector or the other.

The operation of each travel agency is based on the scope of its activities and
organisational size. In this chapter we will discuss the functions of a large scale
travel’ agency that performs all types of activities such as retail TA, whole
selling and tour operations etc.
Travel Agency which provides travel information through online mode by own
websites are known as online travel agency. As more and more people have
the access to the internet nowadays, the need for travel agencies has declined
as the airline companies have started to sell products directly to the customers
online. As a result, many agencies have started their own website with details
of the travel information. These websites use high end technology travel
solutions which help them to deal with the latest updates and details of
thousands of hotels, flights and car rental services.

Some of these websites also provide options that allow the users to compare
flight and hotel rates with other companies. The travel agencies have used
dynamic packaging utilities, which has helped them provide services that are
fully bonded at the same prices and sometimes even lower than the online
booking sites. All the online sites work with different travel agencies, which
provides them with more efficiency once a customer orders a ticket or books a
hotel.

Online travel agencies do not have an office or overhead, they can generally
get better deals on airfare and hotel accommodations than travel agents with
offices and overhead. Online travel agents usually work from the comfort of their own
homes and are fortunate enough not to have to go into an office. The savings that the
company receives by not having an office can often be passed on to the customer. There has
never been a better time to travel, both on an international and domestic level.

independent travel and GIT customized holiday means a tailors-made holiday wherein tour
itinerary is designed as per the individual’s requirements of each guest.

India Inbound means tours designed for non-residents to explore the states of india and
indian subcontinents speciality tours include tours like Honeymoon special, singles ’s
special, womens’s specials, seniors special weekend special, 10th$ 12th special, post tour
holidays and festivals holidays.

Corporate tours (MICE) means specialized nice of group tourism dedicated to planning,
booking, and facilitating meetings ,incentives ,conference ,exhibition, seminars, and other

passed the requisite license, permission, expertise and infrastructure to sell the tour

1. How many travellers will be there as part of a group tour?

 The number of travellers varies depending on the destination. The usual group
size for an International tour is between 40 to 50 guests and that for an Indian
tour is between 30 to 40 guests. In the case of speciality tours, there are
chances that the number of travelling may increase.

2. Can I extend my stay while on a group tour?

Yes, you can indeed extend your stay while on a group tour. This extension of
stay before or after a tour would incur additional charges. You can do it by
informing your travel advisor at the time of booking.

3. Does Veena World book only Air Tickets?

Veena World does not book only air tickets. When you a book a group tour,
Veena World books the air tickets that are part of the tour. In the case of
customized holidays, Veena World will book the air tickets when you decide to
book a holiday package i.e. Air + Hotel/Air + Hotel + Sightseeing, etc.

4. Does Veena World process only VISAs?

Veena World does not do only VISAs for our guests. When you a book a group
tour, Veena World acts as a facilitator for your VISA process and submits the
VISA application on your behalf. In the case of customized holidays, Veena
World facilitates the handling of the VISA process for a service fee. In all other
cases, Veena World does not process only VISAs.

5. Does Veena World book train tickets?

Veena World is does not book train tickets with the Indian Railways. If you
would like to purchase Indian Railway tickets, we suggest visiting this website
by the IRCTC (Indian Railway Catering & Tourism Corporation):

6. Does the tour itinerary change on tour?

While on tour, the tour itinerary can change at times due to external
circumstances pertaining to the airline, hotel, sightseeing, transport or due to
force majeure events. In case of any such changes, guests are notified of the
change on tour itself.

Limit of Personal Forex

There is a pre-determined limit of how much Personal Forex one can purchase or carry
while traveling abroad. The maximum limit of foreign currency for a traveling abroad is
USD 250000 per traveller in a single financial year, as per regulations. However, only
USD 3000 of that amount can be carried as currency notes – the balance has to be in

Receiving Veena World Forex

Veena World only gives Cash Currency to all the guests based on the Indian currency
exchange rate or the live currency rates. We do not issue Travellers Cheque or Forex
Cards.

Days of issuance of Forex

After the payment of Indian currency exchange rate done based on the current
currency exchange rate the desired foreign currency is received within certain days of
issuance. If you make the payment by CASH or Debit or Credit Card, then currency is
issued on immediate basis (if guest visits any branch). If you make the payment by a
cheque, then currency will be handed over to guest one day after cheque clearance.

If you make the payment via NEFT or Online transfer, then currency will be given by
the next day or once payment receive by us.

Documents required to for buy foreign exchange

The documents required to buy foreign currency includes, a valid passport, an airline
ticket, your Pan Card, a Form A2 and Residence Permit in case of Foreign Nationals
only. This is required for every transaction to be done under Indian currency exchange
rate or even world currency rate. Also note that if guest has booked the tour from
Veena world then passport and air ticket is not required, as we already have a copy of
it.
Documents required to return the unused Forex

The documents required to return the unused Forex includes, passport and currency
purchase receipt. If guest don’t have Purchase Receipt then they can sign the
Declaration form, which will be provided by Veena World.

Ease of getting the returned currency

Veena World returns the currency to you by cheque or via online transfer. In this ca se,
we need cancelled cheque copy of guest or photo of the cancelled cheque. The
currency is not returned in the form of Cash. The process is simpler and brings an ease
of Returning Money after foreign trip at reasonable exchange rate.

Time frame to surrender foreign exchange

On return from a foreign trip, travellers are required to surrender unspent foreign
exchange held in the form of currency notes within 180 days of return. Although note
that no coins can be exchanged coming back to India.

Euro Exchange Rates

Travelling to Europe comes with a need to carry Euros for any kind of local transaction
in any country across Europe. If you’re all set to travel to Europe, then your final
important stage should be getting the currency exchanged based on the Euro b uying
rate in Mumbai. This Euro buying rate in Mumbai or even Euro selling rate in Mumbai
for the exchange of the currency, entirely depends on the current Euro rate in
Mumbai.

Coach/Baggage/Airline:

Seating arrangement in the coach shall be strictly as per the booking date i.e. the guest who
books first will get the first seat and so on. Same policy is applicable in case of merged tours.
At the time of booking if any seat number is shared to you, then treat this as indicative
seating which is subject to change and demands/ claims for such seating will not be
accepted. In coach, the seating allotment shall start from seat number 5
onwards as first two seats are reserved for the tour managers & seat nos. 3 & 4 are reserved
as Prime Seats which if available, can be booked by the guest at an additional cost. The
company reserves the right to allocate Prime seats. If paid and prime seat is not available
due to any reason, company is liable only to refund the amount paid for the prime seat.
We will not be responsible for any defect in the Coach or in the Air-conditioner / air-cooler
or for the behaviour of the Driver or the attendant (applicable for seat in coach as well as
private vehicles). The drivers are bound by specific rules, like maximum driving hours within
a day and during a week, rest period per day / week etc. You will have to strictly adhere to
the prescribed timetable for the day so that the driver can complete the travel, otherwise
certain sightseeing schedules may be missed due to your actions/ delays and the same will
be non-refundable.

There is a strict "no smoking", "no alcohol" and "no eating" policy in the Coach. Guests are
advised not to keep valuables in coach while sightseeing. The Company shall not be
responsible for the loss of valuables from the coach. If the coach is accidently or otherwise
damaged by the guest he/she will be required to pay the compensation for the same.

World Tours Coaches / Buses:

We generally arrange air-conditioned/air-cooled, luxury coaches. However, sometimes
coaches may not seem to be very effective, in such case arrangement of coasters or small
vehicles is done. Coaches may also be equipped with an emergency washroom; however,
this facility is not to be used in lieu of the rest rooms. In case, you wish to use this facility,
you will have to pay tips to the driver of the coach directly. The size and seating capacity of
the coaches / buses generally varies from 20 to 40 and depending on the number of the
guest/s. few coaches have one door or two door access, which varies from destination to
destination.

Indian Tours Coaches / Buses:

We generally arrange air-conditioned/air-cooled coaches / Non-AC coaches, tempo
travellers, mini coaches, jeeps or taxies of various seating capacities depending on the type
of the tour, itinerary, road conditions and number of guest/s, etc.For merged/ part tours
which are a part of the main tours, the seating

priority will be as per the booking

.Baggage:

You are responsible for your own baggage. All the risk and responsibility of all your baggage,
belongings, currency, valuables, documents and personal effects (collectively ‘baggage’) is
on you at all times during the tour, whether during travel on the airline or during your stay
in hotel or during your travel in coaches. Please note that Tour Managers are not
responsible for your baggage or any kind of personal belongings and we will not be
responsible for any cancellation or curtailment of your tour compelled by any such loss of
baggage etc. and we shall pay no compensation or refund to you.
All the Travel documents like passport, visa, tickets, etc. are totally your responsibility and in
case you lose such documents, you may be compelled to curtail the tour and you may have
to incur extra expenses, for which you alone shall be responsible. We shall not be
responsible or liable for any loss or damage in respect of your baggage etc. or their contents
whether due to theft, accident or negligence. Please take a note that if your baggage is lost
or misplace any time during the course of your tour, it is your responsibility to take all
appropriate actions to file complaints with the concerned authorities, including police,
airline office etc. You have to understand that the Tour Manager is responsible for the
whole group of guests and he may not be in a position to escort you to lodge a complaint
with the concerned authorities, as doing so could compromise the convenience and time of
the rest of the Guests.

 Airline:

Flights as specified on the Tour itineraries are included in the Tour price. We rely on Airline
agreements regarding air travel & other transportation, through enrolment & payment for
Tour, the Guest acknowledges & accepts the same.

Individual electronic tickets may not be issued to the guest prior to travel due to the group
nature of the air/flight booking. In such circumstances, the guest acknowledges that by
virtue of booking any air inclusive tour from Veena world they have accepted the airline’s
terms & conditions of travel & applicable national & international law governing air
transportation.

Please note that Guest name in the booking form should be exactly as per their passports.
Veena World will not bear any liability for the name change fee, if incorrect names and ages
have been added at the time of booking.

Reservation/ Ticketing

If Veena World makes air reservations, the guests may require making payment of Airfare at
the time of booking itself. On receipt of full air payment, the airfare, taxes and fuel
surcharges become final. This will be regardless of future price fluctuations.

When guests books a Tour including flights, they will be required, at the time of booking, to
provide us the details regarding full name as per the passport, passport number, date and
place of passport issue. Changes to flight itineraries and name changes and/or corrections
may either not be allowed or may result in penalties charged by the airline. These are the
guest’s responsibility.
Airlines change prices and routes from time to time. All air routings are in the sole control of
the airline and are subject to change at any time.

For Air Inclusive tours the costing is based on yearly basis. So cost air ticket is not to be
compared with regular air tickets neither any refund is to be claimed.

Airline Baggage:

When the guests are travelling by air, they are subject to the airline restrictions / limitations
on baggage weight / size / number from time to time. Traditionally, Airline Regulations
permits a guest to carry only 2 bags per person. Check in bag with a maximum weight of 20
kgs and a hand bag with a maximum weight of 7 kgs with dimensions not exceeding 115
cms. If the guest’s package includes a flight which is a low cost carrier (Air Asia, Scoot
Airlines, Air Arabia, Jetstar, Fly Dubai, Thai Air, and Tiger Airways) then baggage will not be
included in the package. Additional charges could be applicable and the guest shall be liable
to pay such additional charges directly to the airline. The baggage restrictions could also
vary for different classes of travel. Please understand that every airline has a different set of
rules and regulations and they keep changing the rules quite frequently. Hence, the guests
are requested to please check the updated baggage rules of the individual airlines, with
whom the ticket is booked. We are not liable, in any manner, if you are unable to carry any
baggage or if the guest has to pay any extra-charges due to restrictions imposed by the
airline.

Airline Seating:

Seats are limited in our contracted class of service and may not be available on every flight.
Veena World does not hold block space on any airline and does not assure seat availability
for every single Tour departure date. Not all airlines offer pre-assigned seats. Some may
charge for pre assigned seats. Any additional charge imposed by airlines will be at guests’
expense. Where pre-assigned seats are not offered or different seats are desired, guests
must contact airline(s) directly to arrange seating assignments. Seating is solely under the
airline’s control, as are itinerary changes due to flight delays and schedule changes.

Airline availability:
Veena World reserves the right to offer alternative schedules for itineraries affected by
airline schedule changes and equipment. Flight delays, flight cancellation and schedule
changes are the responsibility of the airline. Veena World will not be responsible or liable
for such delays or rescheduling.

Airline special requests:

Airline Special Requests Seat assignment and special meal requests can be requested at
time of booking. Veena World does not assure the request will be granted. Frequent Flyer
miles can be accrued on most air carriers. Upgrades using mileage are not permitted. Many
airlines do not automatically add frequent flyer numbers to records for flights booked and
ticketed by Veena World. It is the guest’s responsibility to request frequent flyer credit from
the airline. Veena World shall not be responsible for matters concerning frequent flyer
miles.

Veena World’s Liability:

Company as an organization is co-ordinating with various independent service providers for

conducting the tour. The company takes utmost precaution to ensure that the tour is
comfortable. Also, Guests are updated from time to time through different media of
communication in case of changes. Though we take maximum care, neither we have control
on the mode of transport like shipping, Airline, trains, coaches, buses etc. nor on the hotels,
restaurants or any other facilities. Thus, we shall not be responsible for any kind of damage
to the person or to the property because of these independent vendors. Additional Charges
and Taxes by Airlines, Visa & Government

Airline is an independent Contractor, the Company does not have any control on their
operations; neither on the increase in air fare, fuel or any other taxes. All such hikes have to
be paid by you before the tour departure. Air Ticket Cancellation charges plus deposit forfeit
charges applicable under the rules of the concerned Airline are to be paid by you
immediately in the event of cancellation of the tour Any Hike in visa fee/VFS

wherein tour itinerary is designed as per the individual’s requirements of each

 Guest means all the customer, tourists ,travellers ,vacationers ,sightseers ,visitiors
backpackers who have registered theirs or enquired about tour/package or booked
the tour by making part or full payment for any scheduled tours, customised
packages or any other travel related services provided by veena world which
expression shall, unless it be repugnant to the context or meaning thereof be
deemed to mean and include theirs respective heirs, executors and administrators

 India Inbound means tours designed for non-residents to explore the states of india

 Corporate tours (MICE) means specialized nice of group tourism dedicated to
planning ,booking ,and facilitating meetings ,incentives ,conference ,exhibition,
seminars, and other events. PSPs i.e. preferred sales partners are veena world’s
Authorised travel agents who passed the requisite license, permission, expertise and
infrastructure to sell the tour organised by veena world to all the prospective
guests.
 Company means veena world (Veena patil hospitality pvt.Ltd) and also includes all
its brand and divisions.
 Tours mean any indian and world tour organised by veena world. First day of tour
shall start at any time (i.e. in morning /afternoon/evening)
 World’, therefore, both these names will be considered one and same and used
synonymously therein.
 Guest/s means all the customers, tourists, travellers, vacationers, sightseers,
visitors, backpacker who have registered their names or enquired about
tour/package or booked the tour by making part or full payment for any scheduled
tours, customised packages or any other travel related services provided by Veena
World (which expression shall, unless it be repugnant to the context or meaning
thereof be deemed to mean and include their respective heirs, executors and
administrators)

 Tour/s means any Domestic/ International Tours organized by Veena World.

 FIT means Free Independent Travel and GIT means Group Inclusive Tour.
 Customized holiday means a tailor-made holiday wherein Tour Itinerary is designed
as per the individual requirements of each guest.

 India Inbound means tours designed for non-residents to explore the states of India
and Indian Subcontinent.

 Speciality tours include tours like Honeymoon Special, Women’s Special, Seniors
Special, Singles’ Special, Weekend Special, 10th & 12th Special, Post Tour Holidays

 PSPs i.e. Preferred Sales Partners are Veena World’s Authorised Travel agents who
possess the requisite licenses, permissions, expertise and infrastructure to sell the
tour organised by Veena World to all the prospective guests.

 Contractor/ Supplier means supplier of any infrastructural facility and shall include
hotel managements, airlines, caterers, restaurants, places of entertainment like
theme parks, museums, art galleries, cruise, coach who are to provide the services to
the Guests.

 Tour price means the tour price mentioned in the Price Grid / brochures / online and
other payments such as taxes, surcharges, etc. payable by the client to Veena World.

 First day of the tour shall start at any time (i.e. in the morning / afternoon / evening)
at the first destination depending on the arrival of the respective flight/train/cruise
or any other mode of transport and the same shall be in case of the last day of the
tour. In other words, a 'Day' shall mean a part of the day or 24 hours or its part
thereof.

 Force Majeure means an event or circumstance not within the reasonable control,
directly or indirectly, of Veena World in its ability to perform its obligations/
responsibilities regarding the tour including

 Extra Mattress means roll away mattress which is on floor. (For domestic tour, extra
mattress & for international tour, extra bed)

 Brochure means printed brochure, Website, itinerary, leaflets, booklet, Price Grid.

 Jain Food means food without onion, garlic served at the time of tour groups meals
and not necessarily before sunset, it may or may not be served on the table.
  Meal Includes breakfast, lunch, dinner (they are pre-set menus) and/or any other
snacks (dry or wet) supplied.

 Travel Information:
A travel agent is responsible for providing all information relating to travel since the
departure of the traveler until his/her return particularly that is relating to the
tourist destination of weather, customs, and traditions of the local population, the
economic situation and standard of living, the currency exchange rate, cultural
differences etc. This means that the travel agent must have wide knowledge and
culture that belong to each trip. Thus, the capability of providing information and

HISTORY
The ideation of Veena World started with 35 initial team members in April 2013 before it
was transformed into a Limited in May 2013. In 2013 Kesari Tours faced
a management crisis in its leadership. Veena Patil who was Managing Director of the
company at that time was forced to leave her position from the company due to the
allegations of misuse of the company assets. She then sold her Shares from the company
and was starting to set up a new firm along with the other board of directors from Kasseri
Tours, Sudhir Patil and Sunila Patil.

Under the brand name of Veena World with the motto of Travel, Explore, Celebrate, the
Holding company Veena Patil Hospitality Pvt Ltd was established on 18 June 2013. Its first
sales office was opened on 18 June 2013 at Kandivali, Mumbai, which was inaugurated by
Shri Raj Thackeray.
Corporate Structure

Veena World is owned by its holding company Veena Patil Hospitality Pvt Ltd. which is a
private limited company. The head office is located in Vidyavihar, Mumbai and
salesoffice Prabhadevi,Borivali, Ghatkopar, Thane, Vashi, Dombivali and Vasai.

Veena Patil is the Managing Director of the company. Sudhir Patil, Sunila Patil and Neil Patil
are the Directors. As of 2016, 700 employees work in the company which includes 350 Tour
Managers.

Operations

The company started its operation on 18 June 2013, from its Kandivali office and with more
than 50 preferred agents located all over India. Within one month after opening of its head
office, most of the offices located in Mumbai Metropolitan Region and Pune Metropolitan
Area commenced operations

As of 2016, Veena World has its corporate office in Vidyavihar, 8 sales office

across Maharashtra, Gujarat, Goa, Rajasthan, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, etc. Veena World
also has its Forex office cum sales office at Dadar.

LEARNING EXPERIENCE
It was the extracurricular and outergaining practical based study.So far I concern after all my
work experience over 8 weeks in this organization I found this organization has earned
good will in the national and international sector for building of a hospitality service with
good relation. This organization seems to have a ability to fulfil determinants of service
quality such as reliability, responsibility, responsiveness, assurance and tangible aspects.

This industrial practice in an agency has developed my confidence to work in a travel

agency.I am much more aware of the rules and regulations that has to be followed by veena
world tours and travels. This type of organization practice or internship required for the
tourism students to develop skills knowledge and experience in travel and tourism
industries.it is more fruitful to build confidence and ability which will be very helpful to the
students for the further career development

I have found it very beneficial and interesting to work as an interne in Veena World Pvt Ltd.
However there are some constraints that I have realize and found during my internship. Due
to the time constraints couldn’t gain much knowledge

Choosing Veena World among others was very important decision of mine while doing
internship. There were other agency which I could select but Veena World stand for best
for the internship in order to achieving my present objectives. And so far I achieved too.
Veen World team and office were very friendly in teaching what they had to.from how to
issue permit, to how to deliver the good service and lot more. the successes and
unsuccessful, of the entire operation depends on staff ability to handle field work. Weather
condition, Client's fitness and overall packaging.

WEEK 1: As an Intern to learn more about the company ,companies brochure and
background history. As I joined a travel company had to also learn the differents product
codes. And Veena world’s site. For example different types of tour packages weekend
special, Honeymoon For example the countries available are Mauritius, Singapore Bali
special, hong kong macao and more .jublee special For example America wonders, American
magic,Canada Alaska and more. seniors special For example bangkonk pataya,Thai Jewel
and more. women's special ,college &school packages, singles special,festival tour.

WEEK 2: Learnt about that, in the tour packages there are group tours and Customized
Tours wherein the customers can decide on which bases they want the tour. we have
Observe that customers who choose customized tour preffer Agro tours ,Festival tours,
Singles specials for example Himalaya, Thailand,Andaman,Leh Ladak ,Manali and many
more.
WEEK 3: A Client asked me the procedure to apply for a Indian passport, So we showed her
all the required documents. For Example documents like first Service required (Applying for
New Fresh passport,Type of Application than select type of passport booklet.

 Second Applicant Details, Applicant's first name, middle name, surname, Aadhar No,
select gender,select marital status, Date of birth, village of town or city , country,
select state ,district, citizenship of India by , pan (If available), voter ID(If available),
select educational qualifications, employment type, Is your place of birth out of India
( Yes/ No), Is your parent if minor/ A government servant? select ( Yes/No), Are you
Eligible for non- ECR category?, select ( Yes / No).
 Third Family Detailes ( Father/ Mother/ legal guardians Detailes. Father frist name
,Middle name, surname mother's frist name,Middle name,surname.
 Fourth present residential address details ( Where applicant presently resides) is
your present address out of India (yes/no) select House No. And street name, select
village or town or city. Select country, state/province, district, pin code/ Mobile No,
Email I'D, Do you have a permanent Address?

 We also learnt the procedure to apply for Indian visa. And also showed how a visa
application form looks like.Learnt which are the documents required to apply for
passport.
 Fifth Emergency contact Detailes name & Address, Mobile No, Email I'D.
 Sixth previous passport/ Applicant Details: Have you ever held/ hold any identity
certificate?/ detaile of previous/ current / office passport.

WEEK 4: Learnt how to Add in a new enquiry on Veena World site. Procedure Like Name,
Address, E-mail I'D, Location , Conservation we have to choosed so an so tour name
(Detailes are given to the guest. Next how many members are going Adult, Children,
Infants. After adding these We have to check in the room types For Example: If two Couple
One Child than We have to Choosed 1 Double bedroom with Mattress or without mattress
than Confirm.

WEEK 5: There was a walk in enquiry who had come to find out abouthe tour packages
available, we explained her about the services provider in the tour like for example
sightseeing, Jungle safari and many more after telling her about the packages she choosed
European Delight Tour package,

WEEK 6: There was a walk in enquiry who had come to find out the. group tour rates to
Manali Magic Ifly. So we told them our famous packages to Manali magic Ifly which is 5
nights/6Days and the price is 25,000. also learnt how to fill up the checks ,DD and how to
enquire customer on a phone call, the first thing we have to ask the persons full name
,address ,email id, than which tour they would like to preffer.

WEEK 7: One Client had called to ask how many seats are left on so n so date that is
European Delight tour ,So we told him 2 seats are left. Learnt how to check the seats
Availability,Procedure Like go to mozilla Firefox login to Adarsha dream holiday than go to
sales go to checkseat availability details like tour code, tour date than go to search.

WEEK 8: On the last Week of the intern they taught on how to Check in the Site those who
have already back home town from the tour as check in the list of the people along with
their information were shown than it was our responsibility to call the person and ask them
a feedback about the tour and whether they had any problem or worries in the tour.

OBSERVATION

The staffs of Veena World are very kind and Polite to their customer. When I
first started working, they were very kind helpful and cleared all my doubts. In
the veena world each of the staff members have a good relation. Also Veena
world has a good relation with its clients. It offers different services like
booking of air tickets, international hotel bookings, Indian passports,
Portuguese passports etc.

receives and processes the reservations automatically. Providing their

Suggestions

Veena World is the Travel Agency which is located in porvorim. They can make
it better by increasing their department's as it only has one department that is
ticketing. Veena World wins awards for the best online travel agency.In Veena
World's different people come in to book for ticket and hotels for lunch break.
They must keep fixed timings, as customers enter wherever they want. They
must ask people what packages they want and accordingly they must prepare
it. After coming from tour, customer give their feedback as per based on airline
and hotel bookings, If they have done I think it's important that the travel
agency must know it. so next time they can give better options to the
customers. Especially, for customer tours, I feel agents should considered
getting net rates from suppliers and marketing them up rather than taking
commission. This gives pricing flexibility and better cash flow and reduced the
hassle of collecting commission.

Create Effective business process with partners: Some large enterprises make
efficient, secure airlines process a prerequisite for doing business with them to
develop efficient, secure reliable network infrastructure.
 CONCLUSION

Before concluding I would once again like to thank my department for giving
me chance and giving me such an exposure at once of the very best travel
agency of India.

Now as per my experience, observation and perception, I would like to

conclude that Veena World is one of the best travel agencies for training and
working purpose and there are several things for a student to learn and
experience. The professionalism in providing services to the guest and making
them comfortable by providing them best services possible during their tour is
worthwhile to note.
