Without roads, no development can be meaningful; there can be no progress towards new challenges and new
horizons. The development of the nation’s economy depends on how it builds its roads, giving impetus to
another step forward.

For over 25 years, Vozrozhdenie Group of construction and engineering companies has been actively
developing, designing new paths and pushing new boundaries. We have been growing and maturing, and
along our way have created new large-scale highways and traffic interchanges, new pedestrian areas,
gardens, parks and squares were given a new look in a variety of cities and towns, St. Petersburg and Moscow,
Samara and Veliky Novgorod, Astrakhan and Ashkhabad.

We grew from a small cooperative established on the basis of a stone processing factory in St.
Petersburg and have eventually turned into a modern joint stock company, the largest group of
engineering and construction companies in road building industry in North-West Russia.

 HISTORY
1989 Staff members of construction and surfacing materials factory establish the Vozrozhdenie
Cooperative (license No. 2).

1989-1991 The cooperative develops new product areas. Export of the factory’s construction and
surfacing materials to Europe (Germany and Finland) commences. At the same time, stone dressers explore
block paving technology in Finland, and the factory acquires respective production equipment.

1991-1993 Vozrozhdenie fulfils paving orders in Finland. The first order comes to clad the facade of еру
Cherkizovskiy outlet shop. Work begins in Petergoff to reconstruct stone elements of the Grand Cascade.

1993 Personnel decide to convert the cooperative into a privately owned joint-stock. During the same year, the
company enters the road building market, having received the first contract for outfitting of Malookhtinskaya
embankment.

1995-1998 The company management focuses on the redevelopment and arrangement of

pedestrian areas in its home city of St. Petersburg. Overall restoration of Birzhevaya square at the Spit of
Vasilievsky Island is completed. The company’s craftsmen focus efforts to set up the first pedestrian areas on the 6-7
Lines of Vasilievsky Island. Vozrozhdenie donates an obelisk to the city to commemorate the 300th anniversary
of the Order of St. Andrew the First-Called.

1996-1997 The factory’s specialists perform unique work to provide external lighting for the
Cathedral of Christ the Savior in Moscow, and win the tender to redevelop the square in front of the Bolshoy
Theatre in Moscow, including construction and installation of a fountain suite.

1996-1999 To enable uninterrupted supply of raw materials, the company acquires quarries and
factories focusing on excavation and processing of natural stone, granite, lime and marble, as well as mining
inert materials.

1999 The Road Construction Department is established. Five construction units comprise the
construction management office of the holding company engaged in refurbishing existing embankments in St.
Petersburg and creating new ones.

1998-2000 Bridge building units are established, as well as a design office and a landscape design
company. The company carries out orders to refurbish bridge structures. Pavement of the Arts Square in St.
Petersburg. Construction work at Ushakovskaya interchange.

2001 Vozrozhdenie Group wins the bid for lot No. 1 to construct St. Petersburg’s ring road.
2001-2006 The company performs main contract works at major traffic thoroughfares and highways of St.
Petersburg, constructs Smolnaya Embankment, carries out laying of Vitebsky Avenue, reconstruction of Dunaysky
Avenue, reconstruction of highway A-121. The company carries out refurbishment of Palace Square, paves Nevsky
Avenue, Senate Square, makes public improvements of the Spit of Vasilievsky Island, lays out St. Petersburg’s
300th Anniversary Park.

2003 Vozrozhdenie Group extends the geographic reach of road building work, winning the tender for
reconstruction of Leningradskaya Street in Samara.

2004: Involved in participation in setting up the Road and Bridge Building Complex in St. Petersburg
Associationof DORMOST.

2005 BVQI classification society assigns certificate of conformity with ISO 9001:2000 international
standard to JSC IA Vozrozhdenie.

2005-2006 Construction of water sluice No. 1 in progress (St. Petersburg flood protection facilities).
2006-2010 Renewal of utility lines and overall redevelopment of Peter and Paul Fortress, refurbishment of the
cladding of Sovereign’s Bastion. Overall restoration of Sinopskaya Embankment. JSC IA Vozrozhdenie acts as a
general contractor in the bid for lots 1, 3, 4, 4.1,7 for the first stage of eastern half-ring of the Ring Road. The company
performs construction of the extension line of Piskarevsky Avenue opening onto St. Petersburg’s Ring Road,
and construction of the railroad over-crossing.

2007-2011 Capital repairs of Kiev Highway (Federal Highway M-20). The project included replacement of traffic
light units and crossroads, replacement of two-level interchanges, a tunnel, pedestrian underground walkways and
footbridges. The M-20 was transformed into a highway with uninterrupted traffic flow.

2008-2010 Pavement of central streets, laying out of gardens and parks in St. Petersburg, Astrakhan, Veliky
Novgorod, Vyborg, Rostov-on-Don.

2009 Unveiling of the Hanseatic Sign in Veliky Novgorod donated to the town in honour of its 1150th
anniversary.

2009-2013 In cooperation with Olympstroy National Concern the company makes the design of the Olympic
park in Sochi. Vozrozhdenie Group enters the international market with 17 traffic interchange project designs
accomplished (to increase the capacity of the city’s roads).

2009-2013 Construction of roads and engineering facilities (bridges, viaducts, overhead roads) in
Turkmenistan, East-West transport corridor (seven traffic interchanges, three bridge crossings and two motor road
sections), Southern ring road (over 16 km). The company performed a number of сonstruction projects in Ashkhabad:
extension of Blagopoluchia street (4.1 km), motor roads to Yildyz five-star hotel (2.5 km), reconstruction of a motor
road leading to Akhal-Teke horse race complex of the President of Turkmenistan (4.5 km) and Archabil Avenue (25.5
km). Two construction projects, road bridges (overhead roads), 1300 and 400 m long, at a thoroughfare connecting
Turkmenbashi Airport and the Avaza national tourist zone on the Caspian coast of Turkmenistan.

2009-2013 The company implements the charity project for redevelopment of the Northern capital’s central
streets with funds provided by Gazprom: Pestelya, Furstadtskaya, Belinskogo, Kazanskaya, Bolshaya
Konyushennaya, Potemkinskaya streets, Vladimirskaya, Konyushennaya, Preobrazhenskaya squares,
Kamennoostrovsky, Chernyshevskogo, Liteyny, Vladimirsky avenues, Griboedova Canal Embankment. The company
reconstructs Pirogovskaya Embankment, including construction of a 450 m long tunnel.

2014 Completion of restoration of the Petrovsky entrance canal embankment at Galernaya Harbour on
Vasilievsky Island in St. Petersburg. Overall redevelopment of Vosstaniya, Marata and Karavannaya streets, including
arrangement of parking areas and installation of lighting. Reconstruction of Malaya Konyushennaya street. In 2.5
months completely renovated Pyatnitskaya Street in Moscow with a total length of 1.8 km. DNV GLclassification society
confersISO 9001:2008international certificate ofconformity onJSC IA Vozrozhdenie.

2015 The company completes reconstruction of the Bolshaya and Malaya Nevka embankments from Ushakov
Bridge to Kamennoostrovsky Bridge. The company continues reconstruction of Peterburgskoye Highway
(increasing the number of traffic lanes to four lanes), builds a railroad crossing. The company completes
construction of a pedestrian underground walkway, overall improvement of streets: Sadovaya, Italyanskaya,
Mayakovskogo. The company completes restoration of the Arsenal embankment wall. Vozrozhdenie Group
participates in restoration of the Victory’s 70th Anniversary Memorial Ark.

Vozrozhdenie Group of engineering and construction companies comprises Sevzapengtechnologia (North-

West Engineering Technology) Research, Design and Survey Ltd. Design Office. Designing streets and roads is
one of the primary elements of urban planning pattern. Along with high aesthetics and engineering
requirements, a project shall reflect faculties for potential traffic function and road network development. An
appropriate project shall, in the course of construction of roads and streets, ensure safety of pedestrians and
traffic flows. A project shall provide for possible future development of the transport network’s capacity, fast
redistribution of traffic flows, best possible mapping for distribution of various engineering networks and utility
lines.

The company’s major business activities are designing all categories of motor and municipal roads, traffic
interchanges and overhead crossings, utility networks, projects for development, redevelopment and

Sevzapengtechnologia Research, Design and Survey Ltd. Design Office has been one of the leading players
in the engineering design work market of St. Petersburg and the North-West Region since 2001. Over this
period, more than 1000 significant projects have been carried out, developing road infrastructure and

The design office offers customers a full range of services related to designing transport infrastructure facilities,

Road construction and renovation nowadays is a complex range of operations involving thousands of people
and dozens of specialist contractors and businesses.

The fundamental principle of Vozrozhdenie Group implies a comprehensive approach to construction and
renovation work. The design office within the group fills out the required documents, while highly qualified
engineers carry out the relevant approval procedures.

The Vozrozhdenie Group team uses cutting edge technologies for construction of motor roads, bridges,
overhead crossings, tunnels, embankments and other engineering facilities. Along with road structure
arrangement, the company’s specialists replace underground utility lines with subsequent redevelopment of
adjacent areas.

Over the years, large scale projects have been successfully completed, providing for the development of transport
infrastructure for the three capitals, St. Petersburg, Moscow, Ashkhabad. Vozrozhdenie Group has the

Northern Venice – the name frequently used to call St. Petersburg for its abundant waters. Besides the Neva,
which is 30 kilometers long inside the city boundaries, the city has plenty smaller rivers, as well as many canals,
streams, lakes, covering the city with a blood-vessel-like network. Their total length equals to over 150 km.
Today, all these water reservoirs form an integral part of the city’s architectural landscape.

Granite framing makes rivers and canals look finite and monumental creating marvelous embankments. Tailor-
made lines of granite-bound banks form a harmonious integrity with motionless silhouettes of bridges frozen
over water that are an architectural landmark of the city.

Initially, limestone was used as a cladding material for embankments, but it was rather short-lived and quickly
wore out. To overcome that problem, granite was used instead, that was mined in Karelian and Vyborg quarries.
That’s why, from the 18th century all city’s embankments, slopes and retaining walls were faced with granite,
which allowed preserving them and keeping their original appearance intact up until the present day.

St. Petersburg embankments are the most favorite place for the citizens and guests of the city making their walks
along the beach promenade. Embankments keep the memory of the past years. At their sides reside plenteous
historic sites: palaces, manors, houses of aristocrats, poets, writers, scientists. That’s why quays of St.
Petersburg having a total length of 38 km are protected by the state as sites of historic heritage.

PLANTING, HARD LANDSCAPING, FOUNTAINS

Specialists at Vozrozhdenie Group devote much attention to soft landscaping of towns and cities, setting
up new and renewing the existing gardens and parks, fitting fountain suites and architectural ensembles in

Due to the specialists of Vozrozhdenie Group, a new spirit was put into Alexandrovskiy park in
Petrogradskiy District, Alexandrovskiy garden by the Admiralty, the park complex in Moscovskiy District that was
completely renewed and redeveloped for Victory Day.

In 2008, in Kamennoostrovsky Avenue of the Petrograd Side there was laid out a square garden
dedicated to the memory of an outstanding Petersburg composer Andrey Petrov, where Vozrozhdenie’s
craftsmen in cooperation with the city’s art schools created the sculptural ensemble “First Violin” – 8 styled
granite figures, symbolizing the mission of music and its significance in human life.

Of special pride are unique fountains and fountain suites created by stonecutters of the Vozrozhdenie Group. It
should be credited to the said craftsmen, that one can hardly imagine Malaya Sadovaya street without the
fountain with a famous granite sphere in the centre.

The mastership of Vozrozhdenie’s craftsmen was shown to its highest degree in the construction of St.
Petersburg’s 300th Anniversary Park. On its territory exceeding 90 hectares, the company carried out
redevelopment, pavement, landscape gardening and refurbishment of the Gulf of Finland. The Central Lane of
the park is adorned with a fountain design, in the centre of which there is a three-storey granite pillar looming over
the whole composition – 22 meters high Lighthouse made at Vozrozhdenie’s stone- processing factory.

It is primarily architecture that creates the image of any city. Materials and technologies are of key
importance when we talk about facings and façades. Vozrozhdenie Group has a long history of facing works
and a vast experience in cladding of residential, business and public buildings and constructions. The
Construction Department of the company employs first-class experts who constantly improve their skills and
have a broad experience of work with projects of any degree of complexity, specifics and scope.

Vozrozhdenie’s Construction subdivisions are working in close cooperation with stone-processing

factories that form a group of companies producing facing materials delivered to constructed or
reconstructed sites. The stone-processing factories have an extensive product line of a divers spectrum of
colors and textures, as well as a broad variety of decorative and facing elements made of natural stone. The
efficient team work of the plants ensures highest quality of performance at the site providing strict compliance
with contractual time limits.

Vozrozhdenie Group conducts facing works in Moscow, St. Petersburg and many other Russian cities.

In Moscow, Vozrozhdenie Group has made facings of a wide range of residential buildings. To name but a
few: “English quarters” complex, a residential house in the Soviet Army Street, “Italian quarters” complex. A
significant project in the Moscow region (the town of Istra) was the interior facing project for the SberBank
Corporate University. The builders of Vozrozhdenie Group have installed light granite floor plates and
staircases. The selected stone was a marvelous choice as interior decoration of the University’s modern
building, and was also used in redevelopment of its adjacent territories.

In St. Petersburg, Vozrozhdenie Group has for many years been engaged in the design of façades of large
residential complexes, including premium class ones, for example: “Platinum”, “Tzar’s capital”, “Residence on
Krestovsky”, “Moscow quarter”, Club House “Brilliant House”.

A concrete plant, St. Petersburg

CONCRETE PLANTS

Vozrozhdenie Group owns Beton Ltd. managing concrete mix production facilities. Highly efficient
production of all brands and classes of concrete is possible due to availability of state-of-the-art
equipment by the leading European manufacturers. The equipment by LIEBHERR (Germany) fitted in all four of
the company’s concrete plants helps produce up to 200 m3 of concrete per hour. The plant has an own fleet of
concrete mixer trucks of 5 to 10 m3 capacity and truck-mounted concrete pumps with 17 to 42 m jib length.

Concrete plants pertaining to Vozrozhdenie Group located in Russia operate at ambient temperatures going
down to –20º C, which is of no little significance given the Russian climate. The equipment at the plants’ disposal
enables the use of both dry and liquid chemical additives in production of ready mixed concrete. The plants
produce ready-mixed concrete of various brands, ranging from B3.5 to B80 and higher.

The quality of end products, each stage of production and materials used is closely monitored by
accredited laboratories. Beton Ltd. is certified for conformity with requirements of ISO 9001:2008 standard.
Furthermore, the company has been included in the list of facilities entitled to supply concrete mixes to high-rate
complexity projects, i. e. waterworks and bridges.

 A bitumen concrete plant –1, Ashkhabad (Turkmenistan)

BITUMEN CONCRETE PLANTS

Vozrozhdenie Group owns four bitumen concrete plants of 800 tons per hour total production output.
Bitumen concrete is produced with the aid of the state-of-the-art equipment from western manufacturers,
particularly using American equipment – ASTEC, M-Pack model – which helps exclude equipment downtime in
the course of loading. Own crushing and screening facilities by KLEEMANN, of 180 m3 per hour total output,
ensure quality and uniformity of the inert materials used.

Availability of three heated silos (200 tons capacity each) enable simultaneous shipment of up to three types of
various bitumen concrete mixes and storage of the finished products for up to four days, in conformity with
ASTEC’s quality standard. The plants are using tried and testing formulations and produce all varieties of
traditional bitumen concrete and stone matrix asphalt. The plants have their own fleet of vehicles at their
disposal for delivery of products to construction sites.

Each stage of production provides for laboratory monitoring which helps ensure invariably high quality of the end
product. Specialists of Vozrozhdenie Group of engineering and construction companies are committed to
keeping the quality of the product supplied at a high level, by making use of knowledge, experience and state-
of-the-art developments in the area of bitumen concrete production.

CUTTING EDGE TECHNOLOGIES

contractors engaged in the work. Innovation comes along all stages of construction of engineering facilities,
from ‘zero’ cycle to turn-key commissioning of any ofVozrozhdenie Group’s projects.

When working in historic centers of cities, in the immediate vicinity to architectural monuments, experts of
Vozrozhdenie Group extensively use non-resonant high frequency vibratory pile hammers of the DIESEKO
PVE Company, which provide almost no vibratory and dynamic loads that can damage the cultural property
sites.

Vozrozhdenie Group was the first road building company in the North-West of Russia to start using the cold
recycling technology; the technology of cast-in-place concrete parapets New Jersey; the technology of cast
reinforced concrete slabs production with a slip-form paver; the foundation shoring technology of soils cement
grout jetting Jet Grouting; the technology of leveling with a Gomaco

machine; the technology of slope reinforcement with Enkamat geogrid. The company makes extensive
use of composite fittings and LED lamps.

To enhance working processes and quality of construction works Vozrozhdenie Group applies the Trimble
system for automated control over machines. Detachable geodetic equipment on controlled machines
communicates with the robotized tachometer and ensures real-time management of the process,
automatically adjusting the machine equipment in accordance with the parameters fixed in the project and leaving
the operators of the managed equipment to drive and to monitor the situation only. At the moment the Trimble
system is installed on road scrapers, graders, bulldozers and levelers. This set of equipment allows to construct
the road pavement in a fully automatic regime and to avoid timing for geodetic laying-out of the facility and
inaccurate works in-situ.

All technical solutions so employed give maximum possible heed to climatic and seismic background of
construction regions.

In regions with high seismic hazard support structures of bridges and overpasses include pendulum
supporting components, damping devices and shock-transmitters. Moreover, special chemical additives are
applied during engineering works construction to enhance quality and to accelerate the rate of works in
each specific region.

TRANSPORT AND LOGISTICS COMPANY

Organization of work at construction sites, production facilities and in road construction calls for the use of
special purpose machinery capable of performing a considerable scope of mechanical work within the

The mechanized yard of Vozrozhdenie Group comprises over 200 pieces of modern trucks and road
engineering machinery, including track-mounted cranes and special chassis-mounted cranes, wheel and track-

compactors, dumping trucks and truck-mounted platforms, vibrating hammers, road graders. The entire fleet
