My family believes in prayer we are a family of peace and love. My son Lawrence Bryan IV ‘was a good son we had a very special bond as do most mothers and sons, He was kind, funny loving and generous. My heart is sooo very full today our plea is for justice and today’s verdict we pray for just that a life for a life and when my son can walk out of his grave, Mr. Hooper then can be released from prison. We are also fighters. I believe my son fought for his life and loss his life because of a coward who had a gun. Loyalty as all of his friends claim to him should be based on love and not fear. They know him and what he is capable of doing, now the entire city know those facts and what he is capable of doing and did. You know why I know the threat is real our son is dead, I actually have law enforcement experience. | am a post certified officer and spent with convicted killers. In this city a like all cities across this Country knows the violence must stop, the pain must stop, the killings must stop, and it will not stop unless we do something to stop the old rhetoric of not being a snitch. It’s too easy to kill and it’s not always because people are afraid it’s because some people just don’t love Malika Spenser is a hero she cared. I thank the Lord for her. TiffanyChisholm a mother is a hero she made an unselfish choice. When it mattered the most. I thank God for her and her testimony even those who did not want to speak but were compelled by Court order to tell the truth. 5 choices Mr. Hooper made a choice that we all know of each shot was fatal. I wish him a long healthy life in prison. He executed my child and then went to work so telling he also celebrated his birthday weeks later by taking a trip. My son’s last trip was to the morgue. There will be no more trips for my son. They all say if you kill one time it’s easy to kill again. One party to this time 15 missing there are two responsible for our son demise. For 4 years I have said watch God be God because we knew we would have our day in Court and it is because people were brave and came forward, Many more cases will lead to convictions if we have more people like Malika Spencer, Henry Watson and Tiffany Chisholm all who have information period.
