Abstract: Code blue is the code signals used in hospitals, which indicates a patient who had a

cardiac arrest, respiratory arrest and other emergency situations involving the lives of patients,
requiring resuscitation or medical attention immediately. Implementation of Code Blue aims to
reduce mortality and improve the rate of return of spontaneous circulation (ROSC) or the return
of spontaneous circulation. To achieve the purpose of the application of the system code blue,
nurse as one respondent local Blue Code team must have a level of knowledge and a good
understanding of the Code Blue system. This study aims to determine the relationship of the
level of knowledge of nurses with nurses attitude towards the incident Code Blue in the inpatient
room RSAB Batam. This type of research is descriptive with cross sectional approach.
Researchers used a questionnaire measuring instrument. The respondents of this study was 39
nurses who served in the inpatient room Pandoria, Ophyris, Ursinia, Ramonda / Solandra RSAB
Batam. The results of the research to get as much as 12 nurses (30.8%) have a level of
knowledge about Code Blue with both categories; 27 nurses (69.2%) with enough category, the
category of the attitude of nurses 39 (100%) in the positive category. The results obtained there
is a strong relationship between the level of knowledge of nurses with nurses attitude towards the
incident Code Blue with p = 0.000 and r = 0.750. Keywords: knowledge, attitude level system
