We live in challenging times. Myriad problems of
illiteracy, global warming and deep economic
recession continue to plague our world. The
challenges to mankind at large are more
daunting than ever before; however, there is light
at the end of the tunnel.
Since time immemorial, there has never been a
problem so large that ignited minds could not
solve it. Our history has always been the history
of ordinary human beings finding ways and
means to achieve the extraordinary. Yet, today,
as a society, we have shied away from taking
tough decisions and have failed to inspire the
current generation to grapple with the formidable

The Shridhar University is an initiative of
Sarvhit Trust (Meerut), a non-profit
organisation dedicated to the cause of
social service, knowledge dissemination
and welfare of the youth world over,
established under Section 2(f) of UGC Act,
1956 by the Rajasthan Legislatve Assembly
vide The Shridhar University Act No. 4 of
2010 and quality certificate of ISO9001:2008
of British Certifications Inc.. Consequently,
the University is conferring Bachelor's,
Master's and Doctoral degrees on eligible
students subject to the University
regulations.
Shridhar University offers campus-based,
full-time B.Tech, iploma, B.Com, BCA, BSc,
MBA, MA, PhD degree programs of different
duration. The degree programs are being
offered at campus and provides cutting-
edge education to equip students with
comprehensive and critial understanding of
their respective fields of study.
The university campus is designed with the best
of infrastructure and facilities to make student life
a total transformational experience.
The university provides spacious amphitheater-
style classrooms designed for effective lecture
delivery, further assisted by integrated
audiovisual teaching aids. A central library
houses both landmark and rare works of
academic interest including textbooks, reference
books and a wide selection of journals. Students
have on-demand access to the complete range of
library resources including e-library facilities.
In order to provide the ideal atmosphere for
original research, the university provides stateof-
the-art laboratories and workshops for all
departments. These include Electrical and
Electronics labs, Physics and Chemistry labs, X-
ray rooms, Physiotherapy labs, Engineering
Drawing and Workshop facilities.
Shridhar University is IT-ready with a high speed
fiber optic network providing wireless internet
connectivity across the campus. E-learning
through web-based modules and use of VoIP
technology enrich the teachinglearning
experience. All students are provided with a
university email account and free training for
major software applications.
In the near future, Shridhar University campus
will incorporate a unique Health Research and
Development Centre (HRDC) and an
international CBSE school. The university is fast

Shridhar University is set in a lush green 60 acre campus on the Pilani-Chirawa highway no. 17 in the
famed Shekhawati region of Rajasthan. Pilani can be called the education capital of India since the
1960s. Prominent institutes such as BITS ( Birla Institute of Technology and Science), CSIR
Laboratory CEERI (Central Electronics Engineering Research Institute) apart from a host of schools
and colleges as well as the country’s next assembly centre for the prestigious Brahmos Missiles are
located in the immediate neighborhood of Shridhar University.

Shridhar University, Pilani is strategically located close to two of India’s most vibrant cities – New
Delhi is 4 hours by road, and Jaipur is 3 hours by road. The nearest railway station is Chirawa (3 km).
The Shridhar University campus is also close to other places of interest, such as Agra, the Sariska

 Instructional System

The Distance Education Program delivery system includes the multi-media approach, i.e., self-
learning print material, audio/video components, and assignments, counseling sessions, practical
work and workshops.

Printed Material:
The print materials are in the form of self-instructional materials for both theory and practical
components of the program. It is supplied to each student in the form of blocks. Normally each block
contains 3 – 5 units, and each under graduate program consists of 30 blocks of Print Material.

Audio and video programs:

The Audio and Video programs are supplementary, meant for clarification and enhancement of
understanding in various courses of the program. These are used during counseling and workshop
sessions at the DDE.

Assignments:
Assignments are an integral and compulsory component of the instructional system. There are tutor-
marked assignments for each theory program. The students will have to work on specified number of
assignments per program. These assignments are to be submitted at the DDE in accordance with the
submission schedule provided by the Program Coordinator/In charge of the respective DDE.

Counseling Sessions:
Generally the counseling sessions will be held at the DDE during Sundays and long holidays. Within
the general schedule of the program, the coordinators at the DDE will decide on the coverage of these
sessions. The program coordinator will also provide the counseling schedule. The counseling
sessions will include clarifications required in the print material and other related difficulties through
active interaction with students. Attending counseling sessions is optional.
 Evaluation
Assignments
Students are required to do one assignments per subject (issued along with student study materials)
during each semester. These are structured to test the comprehension and application of learning
acquired through the reading material provided by the institute. Students are also expected to utilize
the library facility fully for additional reading material and self study. All these assignments, duly
answered, are required to be submitted to respective SDDE Centers by due date.

Project Work
The Project Work equips candidates with practical application of knowledge and skills relevant to
their area of study. All students are required to do project work under the guidance of a project guide
and submit a project report on completion within the stipulated date.

End Term Examination

End Term Exam is held twice in a year, normally in the month of June and December. All students are
required to qualify in the ETE.

(a) Qualifying Criteria

Students should secure a minimum semester grade point average (SGPA) of 5. Student
should also secure cumulative grade point (CGPA) of 5.5 at the end of UG program.

(b) Term End Examination:

The University conducts Term-end-Examination in June/ December and the student is
advised to take his/her examination at the end of each academic year/ Semester. The
Examination will be held either at DDE or any convenient place, as decided by CSDDE.

received without the Enrolment
Number.
IDENTITY CARD
The students will be issued
Identity Card signed by the
University after their
admission. The Identity Card
signed by the coordinator (on-
campus programmes) or
nominated person will be
returned to the students.
Students are instructed to
keep their Identity Card safely
till the completion of the
Programme and would be
required to bring their Identity
Card at the time of attending
the classes and Examinations.
Students who have lost their
Identity Card can obtain a
duplicate Identity Card from
the University on requisition
along with a D.D. for 100/- in

Development, UP, Lucknow (promoted by IDBI, IFCI, ICICI & Government of UP) and Director
Behavioral Science at National Institute for Entrepreneurship & Small Business Development, New
Delhi. He worked as founder Vice-Chancellor of Dev Sanskriti Vishwavidyalaya, Gayatrikunj-

Director DDE
Dr Mamta Bhatnagar has about two decades of experience in the area of distance and open learning.
She is gold medallist on Master of Distance Education, UGC-NET qualified in distance education,
Masters in Business Management and Certified Trainer for corporate programs. She has worked with
All India Management Associations (AIMA) and The Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI)
on regular basis and with IGNOU as an academic counsellor. She was founder Director of Dev
Sanskriti Vishwavidyalaya, Gayatrikunj-Shantikunj, Haridwar for Centre of Distance . She has
published number of articles in national and international journals and is a member of various
committees at national level organisations and institutions.
