2  Removal of the GHG14 DD15 AT

Exhaust Gas Recirculation Valve/Hot Pipe
Remove as follows:
Show/Hide Checkboxes
1. Remove the heat shield covering the EGR valve/hot pipe.
2. Remove the EGR pull rod from the valve lever. Refer to section "Removal of the GHG14 DD15
AT Exhaust Gas Recirculation Valve Actuator Pull Rod" .
3. Note orientation of exhaust clamps for proper installation of new clamps.
4. Remove the exhaust clamps (2) from the Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) valve/hot pipe (1) to
the Exhaust manifold outlet and EGR cooler inlet (3). Discard exhaust clamps (and sealing
gaskets, if originally equipped).

5. Remove the EGR valve/hot pipe from the engine.
