System Power
1. Touch the VCC MAIN POWER button (1).
2. Touch the PAX SYS button (2).
3. Touch the SAT TV POWER button (3).
4. Wait for the system to become fully operational.
This may take up to 10 minutes. The Kingfisher
Airlines welcome screen is displayed when the
system is ready.
It is important to be patient when using the
touch screen. The system may take a couple of
seconds to respond to a selection.

Login
1. Touch the Entertainment button (1) on the
welcome screen (The Entertainment Password
screen appears).

2. Use the keypad (2) to enter your access code.

Use the DEL button (3) to move back one space
if a wrong number is entered.
3. Touch the Okay button (4) when finished.

Flight Information
1. If any flight information field (1) is blank or must
be changed, select it. An onscreen keyboard will
appear. Use it to enter or change the required
information.
2. When all flight information is complete and
accurate, touch the Done button (2).
Once the Done button is touched, the Flight
Information cannot be changed without closing the
flight (see Close Flight).

Start Entertainment Services

1. Touch the ENT Services button (1).
2. Start entertainment services by touching each button
(2) individually or start all at once with the
All Services On button (3).

Each entertainment service must be turned on for

passengers to access it at the seats.
Starting the SAT TV/Camera service causes the
system to pause for approximately two minutes. You
will see “System busy… please wait.” This is
normal operation.

Never use the Reset All Services button to fix

problems with individual seats. The Reset All
Services button stops all services and resets all
channels, volume levels, and video bookmarks to
their default setting at ALL SEATS.
3. To stop entertainment services, touch each button
individually, or stop all at once with the All Services
Off button (3).

Cabin Services
The Cabin Services button (1) opens access to the
Cabin Services Screen.

The buttons on the Cabin Services Screen are used

to access functions described further in this guide.

Pre-Recorded Announcements
1. Touch the Cabin Services button.
2. Touch the PRAM button.
3. Select one or more announcements (1) to play. If
multiple announcements are selected, they will
play in the order listed in the Details field (2).

4. Touch the play button (3).

5. Adjust cabin speaker volume (4) as necessary.

Boarding Music
1. Touch the Cabin Services button.
2. Touch the Boarding Music button.
3. Select music (1).

4. Touch the play button (2).

5. Adjust cabin speaker volume (3) as
necessary.

Video Announcements
1. Touch the Cabin Services button.
2. Touch the Video Announcement button.
3. Select a class in which to play the video:
a. To select a single class, touch the class on
the airplane picture (1).
b. To select all classes, touch the All Classes
button (2).
4. Select a video source from the Source Select list (3).
5. If desired, preview the video with the Source
Control buttons (4).

6. Touch the VA On button (5).

7. Adjust volume as necessary (6).
Volume can be adjusted for both the cabin
speakers and the audio jack at the VCC. Use
the VCC Headset/Cabin button (7) to switch
between the two.

8. To stop the video announcement, touch VA Off (8).

Camera Control
1. Touch the Cabin Services button.
2. Touch the Camera Control button.
3. Increase or decrease camera zoom setting using
the + and – buttons (1).

Map Control
1. Touch the Cabin Services button.
2. Touch the Map Control button.
3. Verify the settings on the Map Control
Screen. If necessary, touch the Edit button
(1) to make any needed changes.

Passenger Menu Help

Help screens provide information about all
buttons and their function for both sides of the
handset.
Help with communications features like
WebMail, WebChat, and Telephony is
presented separately in the Communications
Menu screens.
1. Touch the Help button on the handset (or on the
touch screen video display in economy).

Social Area Video

The business class social area video display

(A330/A340) is controlled with a passenger control
unit mounted below the video screen. All
entertainment selections are available.

The economy class social area video display (A340)

shows the moving map only.

Crew Rest Area Entertainment

Audio entertainment is provided in the A340 Bulk
Crew Rest Compartment (BCRC). It must be turned
on from the ENT Services screen.

Seat Reset
1. Touch the System button.
2. Touch the Seat Control button.
3. Select the problem seat on the seat selector.
a. Touch the airplane picture (1) in the class
where the problem seat is located. The seat
selector changes to show seats in that class.
b. To find a seat in the back of economy class,
use the scroll down button (2).

c. Select the problem seat by touching the seat

icon. Selected seats are highlighted in
orange. You may select more than one seat if
multiple seats show the same problem
(colored square).
4. From the Control Function pull-down list (3),
select the component that matches the colored
square inside the problem seat; DISPLAY, PCU,
or SEB.
5. Touch the Apply button (4).
6. Note the other seats that are affected by this
reset. Inform all affected passengers that they
may experience an interruption in entertainment
service.
7. Wait approximately 10 minutes for the reset
process to finish.

Close Flight
1. Touch the Logout button in the lower-left corner
of any screen.
2. Touch the Close Flight button (1).

Fix Problems
General Record as much information
as possible about any system
problems and inform the
maintenance crew.

Passenger • Reset the malfunctioning

entertainment component from the Seat
malfunction Control screen.
• Verify fix at the seat(s) after
10 minutes.

No entertainment • Turn off the IFE system

services at all or a
large number of
passenger seats
with the PAX SYS button
on the VCC.
• Wait one minute.
• Turn on the IFE system
with the PAX SYS button
on the VCC.
• Wait for the system to
become fully operational.
This may take up to 10
minutes.
