BACKGROUND OF THE STUDY

Museum is one of the important places a community should have. Because it only

not serves as a place of attraction, but an educational place most importantly for students

and youth today. Museum will give us a glimpse on what happened through the past and

how it is important in the present time.

But the Millenial Generation, only see the museum nowadays as a place for taking

pictures and a place for sight-seeing. The problem is because their attention span is much

more shorter compared to others and all they want is to make their lives easier. Reading a

bunch and long paragraphs in a museum's description on a certain object is a big no for

them.

And as the technology advances, we the proponents tried to find a way for

Millenials to still read the information in a certain artifact without getting lazy or getting

boring. And we found the way through their own Android phones that we believe all

person nowadays own.

Through the MobiMuseum and with the aid of NFC Tags, they can read

information on a certain artwork by simply tapping their mobile phone on the NFC Tag

installed near the item. Also it will aid the Museum's Staff to know which of the items in

their museum is visited the most through graphs.

OBJECTIVES OF THE STUDY

General Objective:

To develop a mobile application that will provide interactive learning experience

for the visitors of the National Museum.

Specific Objectives:

1. To develop a mobile application that can give the visitors of the National Museum

easier access of information by using their phone only and tapping the NFC Tags

designated for different artworks.

2. To develop a website for admin that can generate statistics for the promotion of

artworks in the National Museum and can also add, edit or delete artworks.
3. To develop a mobile application that will allow users to save information given in

a certain artworks either in audio or in text format.

SIGNIFICANCE OF THE STUDY

The proposed Mobile Application will be beneficial to the following:

The Visitors. The Mobile Application will be beneficial to the visitors of National

Museum. The application will provide the visitors an interactive learning experience and

will also aim to give the visitors of the National Museum and easier access of information

about different artworks.

The National Museum. The mobile application will provide statistics about what
