The contamination of clean water is a primary issue that has dire consequences on the
health and lives of people in Delhi NCR. The contamination of water through improper
sewage treatment, disposal of industrial waste into water bodies and human
negligence in handling water resources has led to this problem. The accessibility to
clean water has marked the increase in skin related problems and deterioration in
immune system of children.
Installation of waste treatment systems can help eradicate the toxic materials from the
water. It can be done in collaboration and active participation from industries and local
government bodies. A series of educational campaigns on perils of water pollution, how
to handle water contamination and impending dangers of scarcity of water to raise
awareness.

I want to become a water champions fellow to study, research and develop sustainable
business practices that are beneficial and economically viable for the corporations to
implement and execute. I want to gain the leadership skills, insight into grassroot level
challenges and learn more about the challenges of corporate social responsibility in
India.
