 STOP GATE & GUIDE
개 요
Stop Gate 는 취수장내 취수 시스템의 전,후단에
위치하며 정상 운전 시에는 OPEN 되어 있으나
정기보수 및 점검 시에 취수구 Channel 로 유입
되는 해수의 흐름을 차단함으로 Intake 내의 설
비에 대한 보수, 점검이 용이하도록 사용되는
설비이며 취수구 Channel 내에 Gate 를 장입하
여 Flow 를 차단한다.
Embedded Guide 는 Stop Gate 의 Rubber Seal
과 접촉시켜 해수의 누수를 방지하기 위하여
Concrete 에 묻어 둔다.
구 조
Stop Gate 는 Skin Plate, H-Beam, Vertical Girder,
Rubber Seal, By-Pass Valve 등으로 구성된 수압
을 받는 용접 구조물로서 구조는 다음과 같다.
Skin Plate 는 수압을 받는 Main 구조물로서 변
형이 생기지 않도록, Down Stream 측에 H-
Beam 및 Vertical Girder 를 용접하여 보강한다.
Rubber Seal 은 Side Seal 과 Bottom Seal 로 구
성되어 있는데 J-Type 모양의 Side Seal 과 Flat
Type 의 Bottom Seal 은 Down Stream 측에
Clamping Bar 를 사용, Bolt 로 체결하여 해수의
누수를 막아준다.
Stop Gate 에 부착되어 있는 By-Pass Valve 는
Stop Gate 를 인양 시 Down Stream 측과 Up
Stream 측의 Water Level 을 일치시켜 수압에
의한 마찰력을 감소 시킴으로써 Stop Gate 의
인양을 쉽게 한다.
Embedded Guide 는 Side Guide 와 Bottom
Guide 에 Weld Stud 또는 보강 판으로 용접 되

Description
Stop gate is located in the water intake
channel. It is opened during the normal
operation. It prevents water flow from
entering the channel and allows the
maintenance and inspection manageable.
The flow is blocked by inserting the gate into
the guide.
The embedded guide is buried in the
concrete structure. For the secure sealing,
rubber seals are contacted between the gate
and the guide.
Specification
Stop gate is a welded structure assembled
by skin plate, H-beam, vertical girder, rubber
seal and by-pass valve.
Skin plate is the main structure, which
receives hydraulic pressure. To prevent the
deformation, it is reinforced by supporting H-
beam and vertical girder to the down stream
side. Rubber seal is composed of J-shaped
side seal and flat bottom seal. These seals
are installed at the down stream side by
screw bolts using clamping bar.
By-pass valve installed on the stop gate
keeps the consistent water level between
the downstream and the upstream when the
stop gate is elevated. These reduce the
frictional force caused by the water pressure
and allow an easier lifting of the gate.
Guide 에 Weld Stud 또는 보강 판으로 용접 되
어 Stop Gate 에 작용하는 수압이 Guide 를 통
해 Concrete 에 전달되어 Concrete 가 전단력에
파괴되지 않도록 Channel 형태를 갖춘 용접 구
조물이다.
TRASH RACK & GUIDE
개 요
Trash Rack 은 취수구 Channel 로 유입된 큰 이
물질이 Travelling Screen 으로 들어가는 것을 방
지할 목적으로 1 차로 걸러주기 위한 설비로서
TWS 와 Pump 를 보호하기 위하여 설치하며
Guide 는 Rack 을 견고히 지지하는 구조로
Concrete 에 묻어 둔다.
구 조
Trash Rack 은 수압에 의하여 변형이 일어나지
않도록 Frame 에 Flat Bar 을 약 50mm 간격으
로 부착시킨 구조로서 약 85 도의 경사로 설치
한다.
Guide 는 Side 와 Bottom Guide 에 Weld Stud 가
용접되어 있으며 Rack 에 작용하는 수압이
Guide 를 통해 Concrete 로 전달되어 Concrete
가 전단력에 의해 파괴되지 않도록 만든 구조물
이다.
TRASH RAKE
개 요
Trash Rake 는 Trash Rack 에 걸려 있는 Trash
를 인양하는 설비로서 지상의 Rail 위를 이동하

Embedded guide is a channel shaped
structure, which protect concrete from the
shearing force caused by the water pressure
on the stop gate. Weld stud or reinforcement
plates are welded on the side guide and
bottom guide.
Description
Trash rack is a preliminary screening device
to remove rough and larger debris. It
protects travelling water screen from over-
sized load. The rack is supported by the
embedded guide, which is buried under the
concrete structure.
Specification
Trash rack is installed with 85o slope. Flat
bars are attached by 50 mm distance on the
frame to prevent deformation by the water
pressure.
Guide is a channel shaped structure, which
protect concrete from the shearing force
caused by the water pressure on the trash
rack. Weld stud is welded on the side guide
and bottom guide.
Description
Trash rake is a device removing debris from
the trash rack. Trash rake moves on the rail
면서 Rack 의 Trash 을 인양 수거한다.
Frame 위에 Wire Drum 을 설치하여 Wire 에 달
려 있는 Rake 가 Trash Rack 위로 오르내리며
Trash 를 수거한다.
Travelling Water Screen (T.W.S)
개 요
T.W.S 는 Intake Channel 로 유입되는 냉각수로
부터 Debris 를 걸러서 제거하는 설비로서
Basket Rear Rail 혹은 Screen Mesh 에 걸려있
는 Debris 는 Jet Spray 의 Back Washing 에 의
해 Debris Trough 를 통하여 배수되며 조립 구조
물인 Support Frame Section 과 구동 Parts 로
구성된 기계장치이다. 그리고, 이 T.W.S 는
Head Sprocket 과 Head Sprocket 에 Chain
Roller 가 짝을 지어 평행으로 회전하는 Screen
의 Endless Loop 로 구성되었고, Foot Sprocket
는 Carrier Chain 을 안내하며 Screen Panel 의
Loop 가 처지면 Head Shaft 의 위치를 조정함으
로 Loop 의 처짐을 방지할 수 있고, Head Shaft
는 Key 박음에 의한 2 개의 Head Sprocket 와
Driven Sprocket 로 구성되며 오른쪽에 위치한
Driven Sprocket 에 의해 구동된다.
Screen Basket 는 두 Endless Carrier Chain 에
조립되고, 인접 Panel 사이에 틈새는 기밀유지
를 위해 주의를 요한다.

Description
Travelling Water Screen is a device to
remove debris from the cooling water
supplied through intake channel. Refuse,
separated by screen mesh, is removed by
the water jet spray through debris trough.
T.W.S. is made up of supporting frame
section and rotating part section. Series of
screens are forming an endless loop by
head sprocket and chain roller. The foot
sprocket guides carrier chains to maintain
their path. The head shaft location can be
corrected in case there is a bending of
screen panel loop occurs. The head shaft is
rotated with head sprocket and drive
sprocket. Screen basket is assembled with a
set of endless carrier chain. Special care is
needed for secure sealing between
neighboring panels.
