PETROL ON THE WATER

When petrol falls in the water, it is needed to clean the pollution by separating them the again.
In this experience, we will separate water and petrol using decantation.

MATERIAL

- Stand and clamp holder

- Clamp
- Separating funnel
- Beaker

PROCEDURE

Put the mixture of petrol and water in the separatory funnel and wait for some minutes.
When separated the two phases, open the bottom key and let the water phase to leave the
funnel.
