STUDENT BRAWL MUST BE DECREASE

BECAUSE MANY PARTIES ARE HARMED

Student brawl in Indonesia has become a routine agenda and it seems to become entrenched
in their circles. Many brawls that occur between schools only because unimportant thing, such as
taunt each other. The Indonesian Child Protection Commission or KPAI noted that student brawl
cases in Indonesia in 2018 increased 1.1% to 14%. This is concerning, because the student brawl
affected many parties, such as students, school, and the society.

First, the existence of a student brawl has very clear impact on the students. Students who
conduct brawls will be throwen stones, sharp object strokes, or even killed. It is so meaningless.
Only with the intention of loyality, you must end in death. Otherewise, where the student kills his
brawl opponents, they will live in the prison and they will not get education which they want to
achieve.

Second,The impact felt by the school because of the students brawl is the school will lose
its credibility in the community. The name of the school will be blacklisted, so parents would think
many times before sending their children to school there.

Third, the environment such as the society around school will fell anxious and scare. This
is reasonable, because the students brawlers did not want to be responsible for the damage they
caused. Usually they only run after brawl. For example broken glass in cars, destruction of public
facilities, burning tires or vehicles.

Student brawl is a complex problem. It needs involvement of many parties such as parents,
school, student, society, police, etc. The parents must teaching their children about character
education. The schools can add the lesson hours, so the students don’t have much freetime in the
outside. The students can utilizing extracurricular activities as a place that students can channeling
their expressions. People must more active if there are signs of brawls, as soon as calling the police.
But the police don’t just waiting student brawl report from the people. The police can patrol
intensively at after school hours.

If we do nothing, the student brawl will continue increase. Certainly, we don’t want the
people closest us to be a victim. The student brawl has negative impact, not only for those students
and schools concerned, but also for the surrounding society. So, decreasing student brawl is a must.
We should move together many parties and forming synergy of ways to decrease student brawl.
