BLS for the Healthcare Provider
Course Description
The American Heart Association Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS-HCP) CPR
class covers CPR for all age groups, choke-saving, AED use, 2 person CPR, bag valve mask, pocket
mask & rescue breathing. This course is for renewing, recertification, or initial students.

Course Length: about 3 hours

Class price: Regular price $80, Discount price: $40 per person with a 14 person minimum
Certification: American Heart Association
Card: Valid for 2 years, receive card on same day
Location: We can teach this class at your location - anytime, anywhere.

Who should take this BLS course

Doctors, nurses, nursing students, CNAs, nursing assistants, dentists (4 CE credits provided by CA
Dental Board), physical therapists, physician assistants, medical assistants, massage therapists,
EMTs, paramedics, phlebotomists, lifeguards, fire fighters, medical & healthcare professionals &
anyone going into the medical or healthcare field.

About Us
Safety Training Seminars is an official American Heart Association CPR Training Center and
the license number is AHA CA-20784. STS has been providing high quality CPR and First-aid
classes in the San Francisco Bay Area since 1989 and is a member of the Chamber of
Commerce and the Better Business Bureau (A+ rating).

Classroom set up
We are very flexible with teaching classes at a company’s location, since we have trained
students on rocking boats, small dental offices, & summer camps. All we need is a TV, DVD
player, and a remote for the DVD player. If you do not have one, you can rent one from us for
$40. There should be chairs arranged around the TV so everyone can see the screen and
room to practice on the manikins. It is nice to have tables for the students, but it is not
mandatory.
Half Price Discount
The regular price for this class is $80 per person, but the discounted price is $40 per person
with a 14 person minimum. There is a one time charge of $50 for us to teach the class at your
site anywhere in the Bay Area or Sacramento. So basically the price for 14 or less students is
$560 plus $50 travel fee. Total $610. If you have more than 14 students, it is an extra $40 per
person.

Payment
I know most CPR training companies ask for payment upfront, but not us. After the training,
we will mail you an invoice along with a roster of all the students who took the class.
