Instructions: Read Chapter 4 – Filipino Characteristics in your module and answer the following
questions:

1. List down three (3) positive and three (3) negative Filipino characteristics that the student
possesses based on the readings.

The positive Filipino characteristics base on the readings are family Oriented, Pakikipagkapwa-tao,
Hardwork and Ability to Survibe and the negative one is Lack of Discipline, kanya-kanya syndrome,
Manana Habit.

2. Based on the strengths provided, give examples on how these traits be beneficial to yourself,
others, and society in general?

Pakikipagkapwa-tao is manifested in a basic sense of justice and fairness and in concern for others.
It is demonstrated in the Filipino’s ability to empathize with others, in helpfulness and generosity in
times of need pakikiramay, in the patience of bayanihan or mutual assistance and in the famous
Filipino hospitality.

3. To what extent can your weaknesses affect yourself, others, and society in general?

I learned a lot from my past mistakes so instead of getting weak I use it to develop myself and turn my
weaknesses into Strengths.

4. To what extent can your weaknesses affect yourself, others, and society in general?
Filipinos are very good in hospitality. To put it in other words, they are very good in dealing with other
people, be it from the other races or countries. But, sometimes, they get eaten up with their self greed
and ambitions. They are not good in dealing with themselves. They act impulsively and do whatever that
will benefit and be advantageous to them.
